  1. This is my point, would 3 or 4 games extra this Eason really have affected our status that much. It''s not as if the players work on a building site Monday to Friday, yes they do train hard, but that is there job. I''m sure the 80s and 90s if most of you were asked if you would rather a mistake finish or win the FA cup you would have said what a stupid question. Money is vital for clubs to survive but I would like to think we had more class than the likes of man city and Chelsea. 1 place higher in the league or a major trophy shouldn''t really even be a discussion. Sad.
  2. Hi first thread I''ve started but a bit annoying on returning from the match, not so much with the result but the attitude of fans sitting around me and in the bar at half time. Performance wasn''t great, but that''s beside the point. The number of people today, who were saying not really bothered as its the league that counts got pretty annoying in the end, and is a reflection of how little the FA cup is valued these days. As a kid and up to a few years ago, the FA cup draw and the rounds itself were met with great anticipation. I understand the figures involved with premiership money and it is important for the club to stay up, but surely I can''t be the only city fan left who loves a little FA cup dream. Last season man city fans were saying they would take fourth place in the league over the FA cup. Really? Isn''t football about dreaming of a trophy, and we are not talking about the zenith data systems cup, this is the FA cup, the most famous and popular club trophy in the world until recently. Just flicked on itv and the Sunderland v Arsenal is being played out in front of a half empty stadium. We often say money isn''t everything when we talk in pubs and at work about teams being taken over by billionaires, yet here we are neglecting such a historic trophy, it really is baffling how such a great competition has become a 3rd rate cup over the last few years, and a bit annoying that money really does talk even in our eyes now. Honestly fans today who didn''t seem to care that we were losing then drawing then losing in the last 16 of lithe FA cup, mental. R.I.P FA Cup
  3. Lambert appointment thread has this on it also. I assume people took note of a member called Dr Terrible and thought they would call numbers if this has all happened to day. Bit sick and lacks respect to a mourning family. Whittle windmill? Someone explain
  4. Peoplee calling a dead mans family''s phone is a pretty disgusting thing to. 8i wouldn''t call someone unless they knew the family, clearly has been non the cards since a poster reviled iron the la Bert appointment doesn''t impress me post . To be honest not sure how long ago he died but stirring familys emotions with calls from people he hadn''t imet is pretty low. Bit twisted the person handing the numbers out also. P.s. what is a whittle windmill?
  5. Becameafulham member for free last thursday morning website had tickets with me in last Fridays post. Nice little job, but have been getting fulham news emails since, but could. One in handy again next year. Cheers Al Fayad
  6. How many of those will be sold? Walcott and Wilshire as well as Van Persie apparently Manchester bound this summer. Chamberlain will be off in two years max once established (take him to the world cup) Gibbs and Ramsey, Ramsey ok, but Gibbs wouldn''t get in any other top five clubs line up. Seriously that line up tonight was terrible Monsiour Chpoi
  7. Leicester fans are more than welcome to purchase tickets in the home sections of Portman Road, they would be glad of the company, just make sure they don''t get hit by any tumbleweed.
  8. Managerial merry go round could possibly go something like this. Redknapp to England. Moyes to Spurs. McLeish to be sacked. Vacancy at Villa and Everton, would not be shocked if Lambert did go to either. Possibly the step up for him. Wouldn''t see him leaving for someone like Sunderland, Blackburn, the likes of Spurs, Man City, Chelsea, who I believe will all be looking for a a manger this summer, is too big a step, but to be fair I wouldn''t begrudge him a move to Everton or Vilaa as I hate to say this, it is a step up. Also predict Mancini to leave in the summer, Vilas Boas to go, and Mouriniho to be back in charge of Chelsea or Man City. Feel it''s all a bit harsh on Villas Boas as he is young and trying to rebuild a aging team that needed a rebuild two or three years ago. Torres is a good player but his confidence is shot to bits and a club which is old and lacks pace like Chelsea is clearly not going to improve him. Wouldn''t be shocked if Dalglish went in the summer as well. Sad to see Lambert leave if he does, and I hope he doesn''t, but it''s been a privilege having him here and in the realistic world has has done a hell of a lot to earn an approach from a bigger club. Never nice when anyone leaves but it will happen one day. As long as Mick McCarthy doesn''t replace him, he''s laid the foundations for us to build on, hopefully he does stay for the long term, but he clearly is ambitious and no disrespect to us how far could he take us? Not quite sure who I would think of as replacement, but someone from the same stock as him would have to be the right direction. Having said this none of the mentioned managers have left yet, the season hasn''t finished, and as it stands we could be on for a top ten and FA cup challenge so who knows. Let''s just hope Graeme Benateads daughter hasn''t got a Facebook page. Hello anyway,
  9. Let''s be honest Arsenal are in serious decline. A few years ago you would really have fancied them tonight, but that team is very very average with two or three exceptions, and Wenger seems too stubborn to accept some of the cheap so called sensible purchases really are out of their depth. Money isn''t everything, but spirit is. Not foolish enough to compare City to a club like Arsenal but they could learn a few things from us by bringing in hungry young English players rather than 3rd rate euro trash. Not a dig at foreign players but Wengers obsession with forgiven youth brings mixed results, for every Fabragas you have two or three Chamracks.
