  1. Scored against Liverpool yet was dropped in favour of RVV. Doesn''t make sense. Does it make sense to anyone here?
  2. Hey ho. CH was a gent. Last season''s run was a flash in the pan at the same time we actually had a striker who could score. CH confused stikers with defenders. Still, more twists and turns to come in final games. Just wish NA would play two stikers together.
  3. I have a feeling McNally wanted CH gone in the autumn. Correct me if I''m wrong, but I seem to remember there are four people on the board. Now if McNally and Bowkett wanted CH gone, while Delia and Michael wanted him to stay, that would have been a stalemate. Surely a majority would have been needed for CH to go?Best not to blame DM when we don''t know the facts.
  4. Taken tonight from main bbc website. Ibrahim: Probably the worst and most inexplicable sacking is that of Chris Hughton. Norwich were mid-table and are now poised for relegation.
  5. Might as well go with two up front - Elmander/Murphy/Loza and Hooper. Be good to see attacking spirit to get the points. RVW shouldn''t even be on the bench.
  6. Rumour has it that Lerner is going to sell up.
  7. Rather lose a game by scoring than not scoring. Perhaps you lot are negative CH fans. Best you go and support whichever teams he manages in future.
  8. So many more than with CH. So far averaging 1.5 a game. Shame he wasn''t appointed in last autumn. 1.5 a game all season would have meant we could have had 49.5 by now and been safe. I''m optimistic about him keeping his job.
  9. Don''t think that was a good idea by CH. You need to give a run of succcessive games to build confidence. Drop, start, drop, start???????Hope NA will stick with Hooper now. After all, he has a lot more goals than RVW.
  10. These guys are Mark and Paul, NOT Bryan and Pat! No idea where they were before NCFC.
  11. Don''t know anything about them. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
  12. Sooooooooooooo looking forward to Saturday. Can''t wait to see Adams team, tactics and use of subs.
  13. "Norwich have adopted the high-risk strategy for survival by sacking manager Chris Hughton with only five games of the season left. It may be, however, that the Carrow Road hierarchy feel they have nothing left to lose after the 1-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers West Brom. "The Canaries are five points clear of the drop zone but they have a fierce run-in starting with a visit to another side fighting for survival in Fulham, and followed by games against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal - so the scale of the task can be seen. "It is also a sign of the fear of dropping out of the Premier League that a club renowned for stability should take such drastic action at such a late stage, leaving former youth team coach Neil Adams to try to keep Norwich up. "In some respects Adams is in a ''no lose'' situation. If he keeps Norwich up he is a hero - if they go down everyone will blame Hughton anyway."
  14. Neil Lennon is on. Wonder what he''ll say? They are going to talk about it later!
  15. ................I wonder if Hughton would have been sacked? The board must have seen this coming. Very surprised. OK, Adams has won youth cup against Chelsea, but has no league experience and board appoint him to get us to survive. I sincerely hope his backroom have some league experience.Baptism of fire this one. If Adams doesn''t succeed, what happens? If he succeeds, will they keep him on next season? If he fails, will they keep a guy with no league experince to get us promoted? Bizarre appointment!
  16. I wonder if Adams will play them. They certainly know each other.
  17. Responses taken from Skysports website. jacobsen says 06/04/14 9:06pm Shocking and unnecessary. Why sack a manager with just 5 games to go? Especially considering that their last 4 games are Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal. What makes it worse is that they have appointed their U-18''s coach full-time by the looks of it. I thought Norwich were a well ran club. My opinion is now starting to change. Reply 0 0 ruddigore says 06/04/14 9:05pm I would suggest that in order to have ''the maximum chance to secure the points required between now and the end of the season'' the board should have let Chris Hughton see out the rest of the season. Sacking a manager with just 5 games to go is madness Reply 0 0 jupiter says 06/04/14 9:04pm This is a bad decision. They should have kept him. This may destroy the team moral. Reply 0 0 riccappy says 06/04/14 9:04pm Disgraceful...Hughton has done a brilliant job at a club who are punching above their weight in the Prem. We''ll see how they do without him,not only for last 5 games but also next year... Reply 0 0 akamully says 06/04/14 9:02pm I cannot believe this! OK their away form is awful, but so is arsenals. But their home form is really good. Only 1 loss in 6! a run which included a win versus spurs and a draw with title favourites city. Very harsh to sack him. Reply 0 0 az says 06/04/14 9:01pm A bit premature I felt Chris was doing ok not in the danger zone, he was sacked at Newcastle though he was doing fine there, sorry to see him go. Reply 0 0 malotbc says 06/04/14 9:00pm Left it to late, should have been done months ago. Given Neil very little room to achieve anything. Reply 0 0 one goodeye says 06/04/14 9:00pm What will Norwich achieve by sacking a manager with 5 games to go? best of luck wherever you go next Chris, hope you find a club that appreciates you Reply 0 0 big red says 06/04/14 8:58pm Why would you be a manager? All that blood sweat and tears for what? The craziness of the manager merry go round takes another victim in 2013 / 2014. Good luck Chris. You will probably be back in the PL before Norwich! Reply 0 0 dannyg says 06/04/14 8:58pm What do you expect when they haven''t won 2 league games in a row all season! Reply 0 0 jft96 says 06/04/14 8:56pm i cant explain this action...replacing CH with Neil Adams...seriously! Reply 0 0 milo says 06/04/14 8:55pm This should have happenned at Christmas time. Far too late to make any difference and will probably only make our relagation even more inevitable now Reply 0 0 bexyboy says 06/04/14 8:54pm what a joke, the board knew 18 months ago he had no leadership skills and was going to struggle in his job, now the season is near over, they sack him to save face and get the fans back on side, hope Mcnally has left the club aswell, your left it too late to save the club, OTBC Reply 0 0
  18. Did we really expect to get any points against Spurs? NoVilla away? No. Lambert always beats his old sides. We know that one.Stoke? Yes, 3.Southampton? Never going to win that one, maybe just 1 point. So in the last 4 games we''ve gained 4 points. That is all we realistically could expect. The Spurs result raised many people''s expectaions/hopes of what we could do. Many here don''t live in the real world. 4 from the last four is just about right.
  19. Nice bit about him in today''s Daily Express. Scored against ITFC on Saturday, ironic that, given an ex-player of their''s scored against us. Shame we let him go, must have been batter than Bachio! Now Middlesbrough new boy Kei Kamara can smile THIS month sees the 23rd anniversary of the outbreak of one of Africa’s bloodiest and most brutal civil wars – a horrific conflict which Middlesbrough’s Kei Kamara will never forget. By: Niall Hickman Published: Mon, March 10, 2014 0Comments Kei Kamara has scored four goals for Middlesbrough this season [GETTY] Kamara was born and raised in Sierra Leone, only fleeing the country when he was 16 to start a new life in America. He had not seen his mother for 10 years and, while it is now more than a decade since the war ended, he still has clear memories of his homeland, where 50,000 of his fellow countrymen were killed. Kamara said: “The war started when I was six and the first experience I had of it was when an explosion went off literally outside my school. “The rebels had started to move into the local provinces like Kenema, where I lived, before spreading on to the capital, Freetown. We heard rumours there was fighting nearby from some local villagers but, when it happened, it was everyone for themselves. “It wasn’t like a fire drill with the kids all leaving in an orderly queue, it was, ‘Get the hell out of here. Run for your lives!’. “I ran until I got back to my family and then we seemed to spend years and years at war. I saw things which a kid should never see. I have seen people killed in front of me, dead bodies all over the streets and vultures picking at them. Kamara represents Sierra Leone who are ranked 73rd in the world [GETTY] “It’s really vivid. It’s very sad for the ones that didn’t make it through and also for us that did – because I still have nightmares about it even to this day. “I lost family and friends. There are very few people in Sierra Leone who didn’t. It’s very common. The buildings, the infrastructure, the roads, everything, it was all gone. “Every day when I woke up in Sierra Leone we had a head count of all our family and our neighbours and it was good if we got through a day with no more killings. “My mother left in 1990 and I didn’t get out of the country until 2000. So many people were trying to get out so they couldn’t say yes to everyone. My mother was distraught because I am her only child and it took her 10 years of trying to get me on a refugee programme.” Thankfully there is also something approaching an uplifting ending to Kamara’s story as the striker is settled on Teesside and is a hugely popular member of Aitor Karanka’s squad, not only for his infectious enthusiasm, but also for his reputation as a highly inventive dressing room prankster.” Danny Graham netted twice as Middlesbrough defeated Ipswich in Saturday''s Championship match [GETTY] Kamara, who helped Middlesbrough secure their first win and first goal in eight games on Saturday against Ipswich Town – a total of 12 hours 14 minutes – added: “I love going back there – [Sierra Leone] and I go there every chance I get. It is so peaceful now and the country is developing so much better. “My country has made me who I am. I’m not just a footballer. I’m a normal person and I like doing normal things, but my background is African and that means I have to give something back. “I’m going back straight after the season is finished and will take some donations over there and anything I can do to help. There will be a lot of kids wearing Middlesbrough shirts in Sierra Leone.” With thanks to the Kei Kamara Foundation.
  20. Four strikers would be the top of my shopping list.
  21. I wonder if he will resign at the end of the season.
  22. There is going to have to be one almighty striker inquest at the end of the season. Pretty well 14 million spent with virtually no return. Are the players at fault or is it CH''s playing technique? Are they kept or not?
