Transfer Rumour Thread Season 2021/22
Rich T The Biscuit replied to Alex Moss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Nope, he's bought him to play where the hell he likes and that way he is the most flexible player the world has ever seen. Rumour has it when Krul gets bored he can go between the sticks also. Worth every penny 👍 -

You tease Purple. We no longer need to debate about whether formations are a thing and save Bills embarrassment so he doesn't have to have another sabbatical. It's not called a formation is called a gaggle of players and the only number relevant is 1 (think Bill agrees we need a 1) plus another 9 in the gaggle. Sorted 👍 -

Formations are a thinjg Hoggy, it's the 1 and 9 anywhere you like formation formerly on show by Kevin Keegan when he was Newcastle manager in the 90's 😉 -

I'm not really a look at the stats man, more of a formation guy as stats can be misleading for various reasons. What we need is a player of similar style to play the 1 in our formation to either challenge Pukki, come on to replace him.od replace if injured. -

Like the look of him from what I have seen, albeit on highlights reels. He'd also fit our 1 and 9 anywhere formation 🤣 -

Think if you drop Dimi that works better. -

Good to see you're now on board LDC that there are formations. The thing I like about the way in which Webber and Farke go about their recruitment is that they are always looking for players with flexibility in our forward thinking players and how they all understand the basic formation but it doesn't stop them from being able to move around the pitch. As a defensive unit movement is a nightmare to deal with and when they interchange it makes setting up in an opposition formation so much harder as the opposing team doesn't know if we are set as a 442, 451, 424 or 541. This is why players like Cantwell, Dowell, Gilmour, Rashica and Tzolis will flourish because we have others like McLean, Rupp and PLM that will support that movement with shape management. -

I think the strong sitting one is still to come and I would expect that 1 to partner PLM with Gilmour, Rashica and Tzolis behind Pukki, that's assuming Cantwell is off. That still leaves McLean, Rupp, Dowell and Sorensen (plus one of the above if Cantwell hangs around. Or we could go with the 1 & 9 anywhere formation that some on here think that teams play 😉🎣 -

He's also not that good technically in the build up. Clearly knows how to score but you have to question how many of the chances he got in the Champs will he get in the PL. Obvious point but the PL defences don't give anywhere near as much space or time. -
See what you did there Mello 🎉

For those local and unfortunate enough to have been in hospital, many years ago they had one of these outside the children's ward at the old N&N. There's a useless fact for the day. And don't thank me as it's my pleasure 😆

I check on Nixon on Twitter from time to time and have to say hi success rate seems to be pretty high with his stories. -
Only to complain about the temperature of my earl grey tea 😬
-
He's not the only one, I've done it before and so have many others on here. And to be fair we hardly had any bickering when a certain know it all had his sabbatical 👍
-
I'm just a posh Norfolk boy so have no idea about the local dialect 😉
-
It's ok because the other account he uses when he has a sabbatical (after looking like a wally) does agree that formations exist 😉 And people say that it's Greavsy who causes all the arguments 😆
-
I sit near another guy who things we are called Caen City, I was going to tell him that it's Norwich City but then my mate told me it's an accent thing 😂
-
Oh dear corkie..... 😉 That's what my 5yr old group does, maybe that's what he bases his football knowledge on 🤷🏻♂️
-
I hope he is on a wind up otherwise he must be the old boy that sits in front of me who shouts "chase the ball" randomly 😆

He's normally good with his posts and more often than not he hints at stuff before it makes the papers. His success rate is quite high although not always right. -
Of course 👍

I'm going to have one last go at trying to help you stop embarrassing yourself.... Point 1: that is the formation so well done for finally catching up Point 2: when Krul takes a goal kick does Aarons go to the left wing or in the right back position of a formation, guess what he stands to the right of the centre half and is the first player in front of Krul on the right because that's his position in the formation, even if the players shift across they still line up as Aarons, Gibson, Hanley and Giannoulis, they don't randomly swap Bill style 🤷🏻♂️ Point 3: We play a zonal marking formation (one which I hate) to cover the space in the box, not just randomly stand wherever a player fancies Point 4: I refer again to my point about formation with the ball and without, had the TV screen panned out you would have seen the central mid player at the time drop in to cover and make it a 3, guess why, because that's the formation for when we have the ball Point 5: no one has ever said players don't or can't move in a formation, but when one does move, guess what, another player reacts and ensures we are covered, see my point above as an example Point 6: is a tactic and how we play but none of that can happen if the players on the pitch don't have a formation, otherwise what would stop the entire team all bombing forward when they felt like it
