Bit of help re.Terry Bly-anyone, infact... His first season at the club, 56/57, was a bad one for the Canaries-bottom of Div 3 South, needed to seek re-election, he played in a few games but was never prominent. Missed all of 57/58 before coming to the fore in 58/59, including the Cup run. Why did he miss all of 57/58-assume it must have been injury? That and any other info appreciated-the online sources I have thus far read don''t mention that campaign at all so am certain it could only have been an long term injury, but any details would be appreciated, ta.
Shuck, I don''t know the answer. If it was an injury it was a very long one, because not only, as you say, did he not play at all in the 1957/58 season, but in the next season, the Cup season, he didn''t play until late November. You would have thought an injury that long-term would have been mentioned in the various club histories, but doesn''t seem to be. The other possibility is that he was regarded as being a bit raw as a player and not really first-team material. He did rather explode on the scene in that Cup run.

I posted this three days ago.He deserve it for what he has done at city.Lets hope we can keep hold of him after next season
And Lambert will be the first to say half of it belongs to Ian Culverhouse, well done to both of them they both deserve every award that they get, I see the new Clough and Taylor partnership here,
I couldn''t agree more -

What a cracking day yesterday was.
Have to say that in almost 40 years of going to CR the atmosphere yesterday was one of the best I''ve ever experienced, almost constant noise and singing for the entire 90 minutes matched by a good game of football. It was obvious from the start our players were on the beach but they still managed to do enough to avoid defeat, fair play to them for that but that''s the least we have come to expect from them this season. So proud to be a yellow today, now on to City Hall on Tuesday for another celebration.
agreed and the celibrations at the end were brilliant -

agree with all the rest but I wouldn''t say Swansea giving Leeds a hiding is fantastic we need to get the points difference between us and those below us as big as possible
