You're kidding right. There are lot on here who have been saying our defensive record has been bad for years and nothing has been done about it. Not just one season!

We were completely outplaying them in the first 25 minutes (which gives you hope). Failed to score and then sloppy defending for both goals results in a predictable outcome. We really should have invested in a defensive coach - 3 years ago!

I just added the actual goal time fir the three occasions where goals were conceded to reference similar examples of today's game (i.e it has happened on three separate occasions in the last ten games. Either way, the key point for me (borne out by the stats) is that subs are too late to have any impact. You have proven that for 20% of the games the subs may have had a negative impact because we conceded after the subs ... so what?

Good start - we look comfortable in possession. Liverpool look dangerous down the right side and have played 3 or 4 long balls into the right wing area for Salah or Alexander Arnold. We certainly seem up for it with lots of energy in the early stages.

When did I say midfield? I like three at the back for this game because the two centre backs we have our slow and will probably need cover. Just an opinion.
