  1. Only the other four have, according to the official site, as the pinkun have got it wrong.
  2. Following my recent transfer fees stats, here is another one for you. Here is the league table since we lost 3-0 at Plymouth. 1. CRYSTAL PALACE 30 +20 57 2. STOKE CITY 30 +14 56 ------------------------------------ 3. HULL CITY 30 +14 53 4. WEST BROM 30 +14 51 5. BRISTOL CITY 30 0 47 6. CARDIFF CITY 30 +7 46 ------------------------------------ 7. NORWICH CITY 30 +6 46 8. SHEFFIELD UNITED 30 +5 45 9. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 30 +2 44 10. IPSWICH TOWN 30 0 44 11. QUEENS PARK RANGERS 30 +3 42 12. PRESTON NORTH END 30 -1 41 13. 3. Marc Edworthy has just been released, although he is 35, maybe we could give him a one year contract, and he can fight for the right back spot with Otsemobor.
  4. Thats what he more or less says on the pinkun article. Could this be a sign of good management, as Roeder has obviously decreased his wages and offered him a contract which he feels suits the quality of the player. I cant imagine Roeder changing his mind and increasing the wages by much.
  5. The problem we have got is that Connolly has probably picked Derby as they have their parachute money, so offered more on wages. QPR are richer than Chelsea so offered Ramage more wages, more than Wolves were prepared to offer. Earnie was only in talks with Forest, as soon as another club come in with more money for wages he will go there. Its all money, money, money If you want to build a successful team the only way is to go for players no one knows about like young talented premiership reserves or from the lower leagues Examples: Ched Evans (Man City), Mark Hudson (Fulham), Peter Whittingham(Villa), Ebanks-Blake(ManU), Kevin Mcnaughtan(Aberdeen), Roger Johnson(Wycombe), Michael Mcindoe(doncaster), Michael Kightly(grays), Marvin Elliott(millwall), Adam Drury(pboro), Jimmy Bullard (pboro), Sean St Ledger(colchester). So you need a good scouting system.
  6. Of course its difficult to include all that as we dont know how much it cost, I just thought it was interesting to see how much on transfer fees alone.
  7. Just been having look at our transfer fees from the last 3 years. Doncaster said before the Earnie sale that the £2m loan from the turners will mean we wont need to sell any players. So lets look at the fees just for this season. There is a profit of £3.4m this season from transfer fees plus the £1.1m that we dont need to pay for Strihavka that we agreed earlier on this season. So we should have around £4.5m to spend this summer, obviously that is unlikely. 2007/08 Season IN Matty Pattison £500,000 David Strihavka £240,000 Jamie Cureton £800,000 Darel Russell £410,000 David Marshall £1,000,000 £2,950,000 OUT Joe Lewis £400,000 Chris Brown £400,000 Robert Earnshaw £3,500,000 Dickson Etuhu £1,500,000 Youssef Safri £250,000 Andy Hughes £200,000 Jurgen Colin £100,000 £6,350,000 2006/07 Season IN Chris Brown £275,000 Simon Lappin £50,000 Luke Chadwick £200,000 Lee Croft £700,000 £1,225,000 OUT Leon Mckenzie £600,000 Robert Green £2,000,000 £2,600,000 2005/06 Season IN Robert Earnshaw £3,000,000 Dickson Etuhu £600,000 Jurgen Colin £260,000 Andy Hughes £500,000 Carl Robinson £50,000 £4,410,000 OUT Dean Ashton £7,125,000 Damien Francis £2,250,000 Thomas Helveg £169,000 Mattias Svensson £100,000 Mattias Jonson £700,000 £10,344,000 Total Incoming £8,585,000 Outgoing £19,294,000
  8. I do get the feeling their is truth in this, there is not actually any evidence saying that Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest are the two clubs which have had bids accepted for Earnie, he could well be in talks with us. As for Etherington it does sound like it could be him, I sure hope this dont get out, because if we sign him that would be the best signing since Hucks, but we dont want other clubs alert to his availability.
  9. Punting, could you give us an idea of where you heard this rumour from, usually without more than one person saying the same thing, these rumours are usually false. Is this other player Etherington? it kind of makes sense as mr.carrow said the same thing, and I was the first person to mention his name on the internet as I done some research after Roeder announced the surprise factor and found out that Etherington fits with Roeder''s description and it was Roeder who also signed him for West Ham.
  10. I started this thread as I think it can be seen more easily. I think the question is quite relevant as solving the problem with mr.carrow or Mr.Carrow would enable us to work out if mr.carrow is a reliable source - hence the signing of Etherington in my opinion would be an priceless piece of transfer business.
  11. Ramage is currently having a medical at QPR, another club who are gonna annoy me. Also Earnie is going, could it be us who have made a bid, I doubt it I bet it is QPR again.
  12. Mr.Carrow are you guy who used to post on the official website about players signing? If not if mr.carrow is the guy who used to post on the official website, said that we are signing Etherington, then im confident that it is true as the guy on o.s has been right many times.
  13. So there is two Mr Carrow, which one is the one that uses the official website and used to be reliable when telling us who is signing?
  14. mr.carrow is not the same as Mr.Carrow - hence the capital M and C. I think this one is a wind up, saying that I still think its possible Etherington is the guy Roeder is talking about.
  15. To be fair Davey and Cooper have both been injured for long periods this season, so Roeder would not have seen much of them. I believe that both of these two plus a couple of others are gonna have good futures in the game and I expect them to be offered contracts next season. If not then there is something seriously wrong at Colney.
  16. http://www.pinkun.com/content/ncfc/story.aspx?brand=PINKUNOnline&category=Norwich&tBrand=PinkUnOnline&tCategory=Norwich&itemid=NOED09%20May%202008%2017%3A09%3A38%3A490 Both players still have one year left in their scholarship and I am pretty surprised that they have been offered contracts ahead of the other 3 final year scholars Danny Kelly, David Cooper and Nick Davey. I have heard some people rate Korey Smith, who Ive only seen a couple of times and he has looked ok, but I have been more impressed with the other 3. Kelly, Cooper and Davey. David Cooper is great going forward from right back and can score a few goals, unfortunately was injured half the season. Danny Kelly can play as centre half or as a target man and he wins many headers and looks an intelligent player who is calm in possesion. Nick Davey is a real hot prospect in my opinion, he has good control, awareness and an eye for goal, he scored around 25 goals for the under 16s last year and was impressive against Celtic and MK Dons reserves at Carrow Road. Unfortunately he has been out injured most of the season but has scored 3 in his 5 starts for the under 18s. Other youth players to watch out for next year are new scholars Sam Habergham, Josh Dawkin and Manny Richardson (who on first impressions looks more impressive than Martin, Daley and Davey). ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS ANY COMMENTS?
  17. Roeder said a player in hucks position 6 or 7 yrs younger than hucks. Well obviously Hoolihan falls under that category as he is 25 and is admired by Roeder. But also Etherington has been out of the West Ham team since February and he is also 26 and it was Roeder who signed him for Wham. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_2272614,00.html
  18. sounds reliable enough, but what has he got wrong???
  19. What has this Johnno got right in the past? Then I can make a decision if i should believe him or not.
  20. http://www.pinkun.com/content/NCFC/Squad/Injuries.aspx plus Pattison, Rudd, Lathrope, Daley, Renton What do you think would be our starting line up if we signed no players in the summer? Marshall Semi, Doc, Shacks, Drury Chadwick, Russell, Fozzy, Pattison Martin, Cureton Subs: Gilks Spillane Lappin/Eagle Croft Daley
  21. that may explain why Roeder will be holding an end of season session today where he will be talking about hucks and other players. Im sure we will hear loads of good stuff about players and that we are gonna have a good season.
  22. Worthington failed in the summer of 2005 and 2006 Grant failed in 2007 Will Reoder fail in 2008? How is it possible that since Malky left we have conceded an incredible amount of goals including many silly ones with these two in defence, but no manager has recognised this and even tried to replace them with better players. I would sell Shackell for 250k and keep Doc as back up and try and buy Taylor and Ramage?
  23. lol at yellowmad, same as first thoughts on him, but I havent seen him enough to really be confident on those thoughts.
  24. Has he been offered a professional contract?
  25. Hucks was one of around 10 cars, could this mean he is currently in talks as we speak.
