  1. "with Delia Smith''s Norwich City" What the f***! I have a little feeling our club made this little quote up!
  2. Omozusi Loan Friday 18th July 2008 Fulham Academy graduate Elliot Omozusi has joined Norwich City on loan for the 2008/09 season. The talented young defender made eight appearances for the Whites last year and will be pushing for a First Team berth at Carrow Road next season. Canaries manager Glenn Roeder has also signed Dejan Stefenovic from Fulham on a permanent deal. Stefanovic joined Fulham ahead of the 2007/08 campaign and made 13 appearances last season.
  3. I went their last xmas and wasn''t that impressed! Maybe they have changed the menu by now though!
  4. Today looked so full of promise...... And i was sure Peter Thompson was going to sign for us. But we bloody put such a low offer in, we get outbid by Stockport!!!!!! Were is our fighting sprit? Come on put in a better bid for god sake!!!!!!!!
  5. I think he has to be worth the gamble. If he doesn''t make the grade here, we could always sell him on later to a league 1 team and will most certainly get what we paid for him back!
  6. I think he''s given up on Ameobi. Roeder has just had a bid of 1 million rejected for Carroll. We are still not sure on the outcome of Thompson either.
  7. Yes the BBC site has jumped the gun a bit. He has not signed for them yet!
  8. Wasn''t Gunn over there last night negotiating this Deal?
  9. We might go back with another offer yet!!!!!!
  10. Just seen this on official Linfield site: Linfield Football Club have agreed in principle to accept an offer from Stockport County FC for the transfer of Peter Thompson for an undisclosed fee. The player has been given permission to talk to Stockport County in a bid to finalise a deal. An offer for the player was received from Norwich City FC but this club''s Management Committee was unable to accept the terms. Linfield Football Club would like to place on record the club''s appreciation of the outstanding contribution made by Peter to the club''s successes in recent years. He has been an exemplary sportsman and ambassador for this club and his prolific goalscoring record bears favourable comparism with the greats of this club. Everyone at Linfield extends to Peter every best wish and hopes for success in his future playing career.
  11. Someone said on here a little while ago that he wasn''t playing. Can anyone confirm if he is or isn''t playing?
  12. You lot are a bit over he top with your scores i think. We lost to Clyde remember!
  13. Nice goal!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvV4Ca71PnA&feature=related
  14. Looks like we won''t find out until tomorrow. "A move may be imminent - Norwich City have made contact for the first time and Stockport have put their offer in writing," Jeffrey told the Belfast Telegraph. "They are both very good offers, they are now with the chairman and will be discussed by the board before any decision is made." Linfield could make a decision on Thompson''s future after Wednesday''s UEFA Champions League qualifier against Dinamo Zagreb, live on Sky Sports 1.
  15. If we get outbid by Stockport something is seriously wrong with our club!!
  16. He seems to be a bit of a goal machine. Could be the 20+ goals a season we are crying out for!
  17. Youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZlvNRSRZMs
  18. He Scored 44 goals in 50 games last season for Linfield.
  19. Late Norwich bid to snatch Thompson Stockport County and Norwich City were locked in a tug-of-war over Linfield striker Peter Thompson last night. The Canaries made contact with the Blues yesterday before tabling an improved bid for the 24-year-old. It is expected that Football League One side Stockport will renew their efforts to sign the Northern Ireland international by increasing their iADVERTISEMENT nitial £100,000 offer, but Norwich appear to be in pole position as the race for Thompson gathers pace. Linfield’s board has insisted no deal – if any – will be completed until after tonight’s massive Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb. Thompson (right) is expected to play against the Croatians, contrary to reports that he would sit out the first qualifying round, first leg fixture at Windsor Park. It has been a rollercoaster fortnight for the predatory striker. Scottish Premier League club Kilmarnock were first to make their move – twice having package deals in the region of £150,000 turned down. Then came the approach by Stockport on Monday with an offer of £100,000 plus bonuses for the prized frontman. But now Championship outfit Norwich are poised to pounce, and a deal could be rubber stamped in the next 24 hours. Glenn Roeder was reportedly on his way to Belfast to watch Thompson in action, but it is believed the Canaries boss will travel with his squad for a pre-season friendly in Gorleson instead. Thompson appeared to be on his way to Stockport yesterday after Blues boss Jeffrey admitted talks were at an advanced stage. But Linfield’s board last night insisted no deal would be completed before tonight’s game. In a statement, the club said: “No transfer deal has been completed for Peter Thompson and any possible move will not be considered until the Linfield management meets to discuss the matter after Wednesday’s game with Zagreb. “Peter Thompson is a signed and registered Linfield player who is available to play in Wednesday’s European game. “It has been made clear that any decision on the player’s transfer will be taken with full approval of the board.”
  20. For all those that sit in the Jarrold stand! Huckerby''s season tickets are in the middle of the Jarrold stand. But you probably won''t see him until November when San Jose''s season finishes! Wish i was sitting there now!!
