  1. See, what i''d have done before i''d posted is engaged that pink squishy thing between my ears and considered that, if we were to go down, it wouldn''t look too good sitting on the CVs of those kids, when they try to move on to bigger and better things, would it? Obviously, we each have our own little habits, though! And besides, you make it sound as if all those non-loanees we have really do care about the club, and bleed yellow and green, which we all know is just a load of tripe. Look at them play for god''s sake man! Fozzy, a *gasp!* permanent player cares so so much he only signed a one year contract after humming and harring for a couple of months. And then he goes out and plays completely uselessly. Your done-to-death ''point'' about loans really is mindless, mate. Come on, you can do better than that. Two of our best players last season in Evans and Bertrand were loanees, remember? Oh, and i''m sure we all remember that Darren Huckerby geezer not giving a damn about the club when he was on loan too. Then there''s Crouch, Harper, and Cooper too. I could go on, sonny. :o)
  2. Glad we got that cleared up, i was beginning to think Loan FC or whatever his name is was just spouting meaningless drivel all the time. ;o)
  3. Because as we all know, goals scored by loanees only count half, right?
  4. . <---- See that dot? It''s called a full stop. Go look it up on Google. ;o)
  5. And again with bringing the board into it... Dear oh Dear. Defeats in important games (read: League games) matter. I was disappointed Saturday, but also cheered by what was a very good performance compared to what i was expecting to see. Yesterday''s result i couldn''t care about either way. Come Saturday, i''ll be back to giving a damn, because it''s a league match, once more, and the league is THE important competition. Are you getting it now? Yes, it would have been nice to win yesterday and go on some kind of 50s-esque cup run, but it didn''t happen and it''s not the end of the world or some kind of proof of our impending doom. Quite simply, losing to MK Dons will not relegate us. Get over it.
  6. But if i didn''t mention the board in my post, why then bring them and their supposed ineptitude up in your reply? It''s getting ridiculous now. Can''t we have a single thread that isn''t taken over by people harping on about how awful they all are? We enter the competition because we''re obliged to under the league rules, i believe, and when obligated to do something the whole ''if you''re going to do something do it well'' mantra doesn''t really stand up, in my book. But again, that''s just my opinion. Maybe i''m just a lazy schmuck. ;o) But still, i really can''t see how anyone can call a first-round League Cup defeat to ANYONE ''gutwrenching''. The playoff final was gutwrenching. The host of England penalty defeats were gutwrenching. The League Cup is ''meh''.
  7. ''Ambitious would be allowing Roader to purchase his preferred striking targets, not fob him off with young loanees.'' Humour me here for a second, i just had a crazy thought: Maybe, y''know, Roeder wanted those young loanees, and rates them as decent players. Actually, how stupid of me! That couldn''t possibly be the case, i mean, it wouldn''t give everyone a chance to slate the board now, would it?
  8. Now you''re just being obtuse. Of course i''d go, it''s Norwich at Wembley. I''d go even if it was for a friendly with Caister Roma Under 12s. And also, where did i say it''s a ''shxt'' cup? What i said was ''not a lot of clubs'' care about it, which i think is a more than fair point. As for your comment about ''my attitude'' helping to keep this club in mediocrity, well, we''ll just have to agree to disagree. Personally, i''m not sure the constant moaners are helping either, i mean, Newcastle fans whinge and whine after every defeat and little mishap too, but i''ve yet to see any success come there way due to it. Secondly, i wasn''t even aware that i''d mentioned the board on that post. Amazing, what one can read between the lines, eh?
  9. ''Gutwrenching defeat?'' Look out, here come the hyperbole police.. As disappointed as i am in the result, i think that''s taking it a tad (and the rest) too far. We lost, as we always do, to lower league opposition, in a cup that not very many clubs care about these days. It happens. And it happens even more frequently with Norwich. Unless you''ve spent the last 15 years living under a rock, you really should all have had the sense to realise we''d struggle against any lower league opposition. To make it even worse, we got drawn against relatively good lower league opposition. Disappointing, yes. Gutwrenching? Far, far from it. Ultimately, i''d happily trade any league defeat for a defeat in the cup, because, seeing as we''re never, ever going to win it, i''m really not all that bothered.
  10. A fair few, i''ll grant. But i''m answering the question ''did anybody really think he would cope with Championship football ?'', and personally i''m more willing to trust the combined judgement of Redknapp, Adams, Roeder and Clarke than i am to trust the opinions of some random, and very negative, bloke on a football message board. Two games seems an incredibly short amount of time to come to the conclusion that Koroma, or any player for that matter, isn''t good enough.
  11. Millmoor. Gotta love the broken glass cemented into the top of the walls. Classy touch, that.
  12. Wes looked exhausted in the latter stages of the second half against Coventry. I''m guessing, and hoping(!) that he wasn''t up to the full 90 minutes, not with Saturday''s game coming up, which would explain the situation. But then again, it wouldn''t be the first, nor the last, time Roeder made a strange tactical decision.
  13. Excuse the poor grammar and spelling. It''s been a long week! ;o)
  14. ''I only moan about what i think needs moaning about , Hoolahan is a great buy (would we have got him but for the release clause though) but nobody will convince me that getting in all these kids are a good thing , take Koroma 18 year old never played in this country did anybody really think he would cope with Championship football ? As for spending money well what we have spent is peanuts and still we cannot afford a decent striker , yet we can turn away a billionaire who wants to plough £20 million into the playing side .My opinion is Delia Smith needs putting in a straight jacket and carried out of Carrow Road before we all end up in League 1.'' 1. The release clause comment is pure speculation. You have absolutely nothing to back that up. 2. Well, obviously Harry Redknapp, Tony Adams, Glenn Roeder, Lee Clarke, and the other members of the coaching staff think Koroma can cut it, not just at Championship level, but potentially at Premier level too. Hence Pompey singing him, and hence us loaning him. 3. Where''s the proof that we can''t afford a decent striker? The fact that we haven''t signed a big man yet means nothing; Glenn is quite clearly looking around, and has his targets. (Whether i have faith in him to land them yet is another matter, and one the jury is still out on.) Ipswich have money, yet they''re in the same boat as us. Where are all there new players, and top class strikers? Even if we did have money it wouldn''t necessarily make the right players available, or speed up the negotiations. 4. As much as we''d all have loved to see a billionaire pumping some cash into our club, we do need to be a little more realistic here. Am i the only one who thinks it''s rather hypocritcal how the same people who harp on about how our current board refusing to meet the price tags on any decent players don''t lay any of the blame on Cullum for not meeting Delia''s (in my opinion very fair, considering the ground, training facilities, academy, hotel, restaurant, etc) valuation of the football club?
  15. What''s with all this ''D''Urso is a Binner'' lark that keeps flying about on this mesage board? I can categorically state that he''s not. My Dad worked with him at BT for years, they were fairly good mates ''til they went their seperate ways. Though i think that game at home to Huddersfield contributed to the end of that friendship! ;o) Can''t remember who he does actually support, though i think it may''ve been one of the Sheffield sides, but it certainly wasn''t the Binners. My Dad wouldn''t have given him the time of day if he had supported them! Either way, it''ll be good if he''s not ''reffing'' tomorrow. He''s bloody useless.
  16. When the Snakepit first opened we had a drummer for a season or so. People complained constantly, though personally i liked it. I think he got banned for throwing his drumstick at the linesman once.
