1.
Good post. So any prospective new manager can expect, during his contracted period to be constantly undermined by the boards search for a better man. Even the day afrter a great win somewhere you hear that Doncaster is having lunch with some rival manager of Lincoln City in a Happy Eater somewhere. Great post mate, well thought out.
So just out of interest why do you still back the board?
 2.
Arthur Whittle whittled on: It makes me laugh how all of a sudden none of you support the board. Ive noticed this recently with alot of posters on here. Strange that dont you think?..........Utter rubbish of course because thats why people like you get so hit up when i state how crap they are. So easy my friend.   How on earth did you come to this conclusion? Get back behind your bar, change the barrel and give your pump a pull!
Im not sure i get your point. Are you saying you still support the board and im wrong for suggesting you''ve changed your stance? Or are you saying you never supported the board? If its the first than you are clearly deluded, if its the last you are clearly telling porkies!!
 3.

Did anybody else listen to it today? I thought the last caller was absolutely spot on. The players are grown men, the players are doing a job they WANT to do and they are getting paid well for it. Before people blame everything on the board just remember the players should take some of the blame as well.
You mean players brought in by managers the board appointed ? FFS the buck stops with them, sure the players are the ones on the pitch, but some muppet brought them in, the same muppets brought the managers in that brought them.
Strange, seems to me that when we got promoted to the Prem that it was Worthington, Hucks, Malky & co that got most of the credit rather than Delia. But when things arent going so well, suddenly the players and coaching staff have no responsibility and its all the board''s fault. Do grow up.
Hiya Neil.......................
 4.
Where are all the board coolies? still blaming anyone but the sacred cow? Come on, arent you going to own up? Lets be having you.
From what i can gather they never supported the board! Well thats what they are saying now!!
 5. Canary call and Neil Adams are a joke. The guys who had a pop at Gunn and the board were more or less cut off. Neil Adams defence for Bryan Gunn claiming we were putting in great performences and would soon climb the table was-"we played well for 20 minutes against Bristol City and towards the end against Burnley. Yep in the wonderful world of Neil Adams games are no longer played over 90 minutes. Why do all calls aimed at the board or club officials get called short? Is it because they dont want to ruin cosy relations with carrow road big wigs? If so thats very poor journalisim.
 6.
Alternatively - give the b@stards ONE last chance to redeem themselves. Make this the hottest, nastiest, most Balls out welcome ippo have had in years - make it thoroughly unpleasant for them. DEMAND the 11 ''players'' we pick DO NOT roll over as in previous seasons, and give us something to smile about by showing a pride in the club, that quite frankly i dont beleive they have. If they let us down once more time, they are the real scum, and need to be told in no uncertain terms. The board, can just %$$% off.
How many last chances do they deserve. Sorry i havent missed a derby home game since i was a young un, but if a decent manager is not in place by friday i may consider this. I boycott the home games now anyway but could i do it for the scum game? Yes, now i think i could if i believed enough people backed the idea for it to be a success.
 7. I love Dion Dublin and would love to see him in the coaching staff, but manager? Isnt that exactly the kind of mistake we have been making? Pullis and Parkinson have now been ruled out according to canary call { who seemed to cut short everyone who slagged off the board-why?}, this leaves us now with Dion Dublin and Paul Jewell. Now the respect i have for Dion is second to none but i would hate to see the big lad go from hero to zero to save the board a bit of money. What attempts have been made to talk to managers in work? None! They want a cheap option and sorry but thats how they have got us into this position in the 1st place. Dion has no experience, to my knowledge has never coached, and would be a big gamble. if we were in a better position then maybe it could work, but with the current pressure on the team we need that lovely big lad concentrating fully on the pitch, after all hes one of the few players who rarely lets his head drop.

If the players are failing its the managers fault, if the managers failing its the boards fault. This board cant get any worse. the only excuse for delaying a new manager would be if they got Paul Jewell. If they turn to parkinson after over 2 weeks of going through "high profile candidates" they need to go.
 9.

I don''t support the Board I support the Club. The Board represent those who own a civic asset. If I chose to support those private owners by paying to watch what they have overall responsibility for creating I will do so when I consider they have met with my aspirations. Until they do I will continue to support Norwich City Football Club but not Norwich City PLC.
Exactly. How many people actually support the board? I don''t know anyone who does. I proudly support Norwich City Football Club and always have done. I supported them with the same passion throughout the time of all the boards, managers and players since 1967. Whenever I buy my tickets or merchandise I do so because I want to. I choose to spend my money following the club I support. I don''t consider that money is in support of who ever owns the club at the time. Boards, managers and players come and go but the only real loyalty in the game is a oneway street from the fan to their club. And thats the way it always has been. It''s a personal choice as to if when or how to withdraw that support.
It makes me laugh how all of a sudden none of you support the board. Ive noticed this recently with alot of posters on here. Strange that dont you think?..........Utter rubbish of course because thats why people like you get so hit up when i state how crap they are. 10.

No we bloody dont-look at the mess he left Hull in. Fair play he had a good season when Colchester went up, but from what i gather Williams is the man the credit should be given to. Why has no  effort been made for Gary Johnson of Bristol City? Good record, limited funds, poachable? Please dont appoint Parkinson though for christs sake!
Bristol City manager? Sorry they looked dire against us, even if they did win 3-1. The football we played in the first 20 minutes was easily the best of the match.
So they made us look crap without even trying? Must be a good manager then.
 11. If its Parkinson i will be disgusted that they took so long to appoint a manager whos track record at this level was to take Hull city to the bottom of the league.
 12. Web team-Maybe you should lock this thread as its so far off topic now and just turning into a tit for t#at school playground?
 13.

No i would call it scraping the barrel mate.
You still dont get anything do you?
no you dont
Back at school next week youngster? Remind blahblahblah ro remember his packed lunch on your way round monday.

 16.

Officially the worst post this month.
Officially the worst post this season you mean [um]
Officially the worst period in the modern history of the football club! (Could apathetic morons such as these lift their heads out of the sand & wake up to reality).
Have you ever posted on a thread withou calling other city fans morons. It really does suggest you are thick as... ok mods, I won''t finish the post [:|]
There is no hiding from it - there are far too many of them. They are not bothered about whether we win/lose/draw, which division we are in, how badly the club is run from a financial point of view etc etc.. I have never before witnessed such a willingness to accept constant under-performance of a football club - both on & off the field of play - by it''s (so called) supporters. It is indicative of the kind of person attending live football in the modern era of the game. The apathy of our ''fan'' base is one of the many causes of our continual demise - but you will (no doubt) decline to accept/recognise this.
Where the hell do you get off, calling people names just because they happen not to agree with you? This is an internet message board forum, not a Primary School playground. To suggest that I, or people like me, am not bothered about whether we win, lose or draw, what division we''re in or how badly the club is run etc. is totally ludicrous and shows a total lack of understanding of how other fans, apart from yourself of course, are feeling. If you think I have a ''willingness'' to accept constant underperforming both on and off the field of play, then you are totally wrong there as well. Do you not think that I haven''t attended protests before in the past? No?? Then I''ll tell you something. I have. I was voicing my feelings my feelings at numerous ''Worthy Out'' protests during the 05/06 and 06/07 seasons (after the games, never before). And what actual good do you think those protests did? And do you actually think the board sacked him because of those protests? They did no actual good whatsoever. All they succeeded in doing was get some unwanted press coverage and undermine the players confidence and lower the general morale even further. If you think yes to the second question, then you are wrong on both counts. The board sacked him because we were in a poor run of form, not because us, the fans, wanted him sacked. Do you think I''m happy with the board right now? No, of course I''m bloody not. But protests and boycotts are not going to achieve anything in my opinion, except create more divisions, pointless repetitive arguing etc. The TEAM must be supported to the bitter end, no matter how bad any performances and results are. Why have people like you not recognised the fact that this stupid, stubborn, board of ours will not actually go until they feel that there is no possible way of turning the club around? Is it because you''re too busy in getting angry with people like myself, Matt, Nutty Nigel etc.? A sensible, intelligent, non-insulting reply would be appreciated - but I''m not exactly holding my breath.....
My oh my how naive can you get??? The board sacked Worthy because a poor run of results and not because of fan power???   Don''t make me laugh!!! If they sacked him for a run of poor results then did they not act at least two years or more too late???
Two years or more too late? So then Smudger, with your oh so wonderful hindsight, do you then think that he should''ve been sacked at the end of our championship winning season? Or maybe near the start of the disastrous Premiership campaign? I would say about a year to a year and a half too late, wouldn''t you, considering he was sacked in October 2006 and not October 2007!! BINNER.
Of Course it was because of the fans! People were calling for Worthy months before he was sacked, the only reason they couldnt at the time was because Delia''s big family couldnt do it. She was taking staff and players wives out on jounts every week and befriending them and creating a big happy bunch and we all know you should keep buisness and pleasure separate. I know i couldnt sack one of my best mates.
 17.
It seems very split on here, but these days that seems to be happening allot. Who is happy that the board is taking their time. I fully support it, as i dont want them employing some unknown.
Ive actually gave up worrying because without major investment i cant see any manager changing the current team. Im sure they''re a good bunch of lads and im sure they''re hearts are in the right places, but if you sell your best players and replace them with average ones you are going to be in troble. I hate saying it but you cant polish a turd!
 18.

I warn thee all
snore,yawn,sleep
If your that board sod off and dont post on here-simple!
 19. With the norwegien fella the latest to drop out of the race who are we likely to get? There is Duffer-IMO would cause a near riot, Parkinson-done well at colly but terrible at Hull, and its already been mentioned that most of the colchester credit belonged to Geriant williams, which brings us to Williams. Geriant has proved to be a good coach and manager but we have been told hands off by coly. Tony Pullis is a man with a lot of contacts and gets the best out of  limited funds-but does anyone want him here? Martin Allen was a success at Barnet, Brentford and Mk Dons before his clash with Manderic-but the story on him has gone quiet as has it done with Crook and Litbarski. Dions put his hat in the ring but is an unexperienced fella what we need at the minute? So who is left and who would you be happy with?
 20.

Oh how silly of me, of course it all makes sense now-me and Lee Oliver are the same person. Idiot.
Just as likely as Delia is to be a binner hell-bent on dragging us into league 1, wouldn''t you say, Arthur old chap ?
No i would call it scraping the barrel mate. The village missing its idiot would do well to look on here and browse over blahblahblahs posts-possible replacement?
 21.
This is clearly a wind up or youre very young and naive - possibly all three. In any organisation MANAGEMENT are paid more - why? Because they ultimately carry responsibility for what happens.
LOL Brilliant post.
 22.
Then they will appoint him, especially if that game is the Scum game!. With no doubt, Dublin as his assistant, a man I might add, with zero experience in management. But he''s here already, and he''s cheap. Duffy was given two games to improve things, although he''s been around for nearly a year! now Mr Munby refuses to deny that Duffy won''t still be here in charge for the binners game!. That as transparent as it gets, they are also scared stiff to announce Duffy''s appointment before a televised game because of the adverse publicity it would create with protests that would surely follow such a suicidal appointment. The board all know that Duffys got the job, Duffy knows he''s got the job, the only poor sods who don''t know are of course ................the fans!.
Not a bad theory. I believe the board were banking on Duffer getting 4 points from his 2 games thus giving them good reason to appoint him. 3 relegations in 3 managerial club spells is Duffys history-hardly the type we need at the minute.
 23.
Hello Lee, long time no speak.  I thought you had moved to Welsh Wales, where they don''t have the internet, and that was why you couldn''t keep in touch.  Have they really got a cable as far as Snowdon now ?  That''s the modern world for you.  I hope Arthur''s well, and that he enjoys the Ipswich game.  Do say hello for me, as he doesn''t appear to be about at the moment.  Strange that, you two never being in the same place at the same time...
Oh how silly of me, of course it all makes sense now-me and Lee Oliver are the same person. Idiot.
 24.
My train arrives in norwich at 10.45 or 12.45.Does anyone know if i can get a beer anywhere as early as 11 oclock or do the bars open later than that.I don''t really fancy arriving at kick off time but i don''t fancy waiting around for an hour on a sunday morning help
I know wetherspoons open early and i believe there to be one down Riverside if not the bell hotel or murderers.
 25.

thanks for all the replies!!  if this forums anything to go by 60-70% will be hoping we can turn over the binners while the rest sit on their hands and don''t really care as long as they get to have a go at the board at some point!! See you all there (well the ones who can be bothered)!!
Now that I''m a big boy the games against Ipswich are no different to any other....and you just get three points like with all rest. The Tractorboys are only as important as you want to make them...and they mean sweet sod all to me.......
Cant agree Cluck, surely its a Norfolk/Suffolk thing?
