I have been called about Youth team lottery on a couple of occasions in the past but the number has always been a Norfolk Number similar to the clubs. Also when you spoke to the people they were quite knowledgeable about club and not too pushy. Id probably check with the club to make sure if you think it is a Huddrsfield number, although maybe they''ve subcontracted out the calling up of people to a company outside norfolk now since we have been relegated to cut costs. -
Rangers to beat Cowdenbeath Swindon to beat Notts County PSG to beat Lens Hibernian to beat Berwick Sporting to beat Penafel Burton to win away at Hartlepool (my selection) I had quite a good look through everyones selections it always impresses me the amount of choice people give to the final picker, hopefully Ive picked the right six! For my Norwich be selection Im going for 3-0 with Bassong to score. Good luck to wes hooleyfan and all and many thanks for everyone''s input, lets hope we can have another successful week!

Hi everyone, finally got on to messageboard today tried quite a few times yesterday and wasnt able to so fingers crossed it is working all day today. Im hoping to put selections on at 7 o clock so keep suggestions coming in. (If for any reason site goes down again ill try and email you my selections Nutty) Its always an honour to be asked to pick, Id never have thought this thread has been going for 8 years and I doubt any of us thought when it started that it would be around for 8 years but long may it continue raising good money for charity.

Carlton Morris or Jamar Loza ?
norfolkchance1 replied to Lessingham Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Seen a bit of Morris at York, never made a start got about 10 -20 minutes towards ends of games. Not much chance to make much impression. Dont think move really worked for him, also York are pretty ropey at home so difficult to judge. -

Sorry Suffolk canary this thread has coped quite well over the ten pages or so before you chimed in with your abrasive riposte which was totally unecessary. This thread is serving a very good purpose of have a positive discussion surrounding the coverage of football in general. I myself am less bothered about seeing games live at 3 or streaming but am concerned about a lack of free radio coverage. To suggest going out and buying canaries player because it is a pittance misses the point hugely. In what other aspect as a Uk citizen would you accept paying for something broadcast by the BBC. -
Hopefully it goes to extra time and penalties

The radio issue is a football league issue, they own the rights to the games outside the local radio area to which they are broadcast. I was looking on A stoke city messageboard (oatcake fanzine) and a Brighton one (northstandchat) and their fans just to name two sets of supporters have got the same grumble. I know stoke are premier league but it seems like they are on a similar deal. Last night in the FA cup though people could listen to games on local radio over the internet for free, which just shows how unecessary and greedy the whole league system is. Incidentally I looked at Fulhams website, it doesnt seem to be like all the rest, and seems to have video highlights on it costing nothing to fans. It doesn''t have commentary presumably because the football league dont allow it, they do have a player site like we do (where I assume the commentary is) but there is no link to it on Fulhams official website at all. Do they not agree with the principle it. I wish everybody could just adopt a system like Sunderlands Safsee, completly free. -

It is short term thinking charging for radio coverage of fans outside an area where they can''t get radio reception. All football clubs aim to broaden their appeal and get more fans from further affield to increase their fanbase hence the length the club has gone to to get involved with social media. If you let everyone listen to matches for nothing I guarantee more people would listen. Maybe then they would be more likely to buy a shirt etc from the shop and feel more of a connection to the club. Also notwithstanding when I did subscribe the the service a few years it was shoddy, sometines I turned on and got a different match entirely to the one I was wanting ( not a Norwich one) . Not the sort of service I could expect for a paid product. I have less of a problem with them charging for video coverage although again I feel with social media etc and youtube the clubs appeal would broaden even further if they didn''t charge for it and gain poistively as I state above. But I do feel charging for BBC local radio coverage is not necessary. As a football fan I think there have been good initiatives such as the reciprocal pricing of games in the premier league for away fans which made some awadays in the premier league decent value especially compared to some of the prices quoted in the Championship. But I feel am astute enough to know when I am been ripped off and I feel the radio situation is a joke. -

Not totally sure about that CDB. Sunderland fans can watch videos of their team, listen to bbc match commentary all off their website for nothing. Something called Safsee. I cant get the link to paste but if you go on safc.com its on there. -

Agree with oso butch on page 4, put what my point is in a far more eloquent way than I did. I have no desire to see live streams - if it happened it would be good but my point is the lack of radio coverage for listeners outside norfolk as soon as the match kicks off until full time is not fair. I used to subscribe to canaries world but stopped due to the reliability and quality of the product not to mention the flawed nature of paying for something just because you are in the wrong area. The bbc is a terrestrial organisation in this country, you should not have to pay to listen to a terrestrial service. What topped it off a few months ago was when Norwich played Charlton at Carrow Road the game was broadcast on radio 5 live sports extra, when I turned it on it was Radio Norfolks coverage with Chris Goreham and Darren Eadie. Imagine how cheesed off i would have felt if i''d paid to listen to it on canariesworld. I feel like petitioning the club about not using canariesworld in the future for their broadcast contract. I am a priority member and do go to some games buying the tickets i want through the club. The least they can do for fans who live outside the area is let them listen to games through local radio on the internet for free.
