1. Guys this has been coming for such a long time, for months some of the ''negative'' posters have been lambasted for simply seeing the wood from the trees. Now everyone has started to realise how average this current team is. I, like everyone else, feel that Grant''s days are numbered but I feel sorry for the guy. It has to be realised sooner rather than later that this whole situation is the boards fault and no one elses. If a company is performing badly in the business world the first heads to roll are those at the top. It is this board who have hired Grant, on a long term contract. It is this board who treated our Premiership season as if we had won the play offs after finishing 6th, not that we had gone up as Champions. It is this board who have failed to reinvest, or invest with any conviction, into some quality signings. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys and this is the reason we are seeing such dire performances. This area deserves an established Premier League club, Norwich City FC could be that club easily if we were backed by a board with some guts and ambition. We don''t have any of that at the moment. The ethos for any company is set from the top down, if we are going to stop the rot its at the top that we need to start. Lets stop the nostalgia, thanks Delia and co for stabilising the club, and lets push on and progress!
2. This is exactly what I have been saying all the time with other posters and its refreshing to see that for some people this is also becoming just one more straw to break the camels back. When you have a player of Huckerby''s quality coming out and voicing concern alarm bells start to ring. There would be more than enough clubs who would be willing to have him too so dont be surprised if Etuhu goes for other clubs to try and tempt our most prized asset. The pro board posters will yet again say ''but what about Leeds'' but that is such a tired argument. What we want is some genuine commitment from the board and invest some money, that is clearly there, in some proven quality. This club is in neutral at the moment and is in danger of slipping into reverse. At least being a Leeds fan you know your had a go at the big time!  Ambition anyone?!!
3. Totally agree with everything you have said. The thing is there are players out there (Lee Hendrie) we must start competing with other clubs for some quality signings. I totally trust Grant''s judgement, and believe that the new signings will enhance the current squad. But lets get someone in who we know will really get us looking forward to the new season, not speculating what might happen!  If Safri goes I will be looking to Grant, but more importantly the board for some clear ambition!
4. It used to be my name...but I decided to go for the classic beverage when in Carrow Rd!
5. Im totally one hundred percent behind Grant and the team and Im excited about the signings we have made, I would just love (at the risk of sounding like Kevin Keegan) one or two real solid signings with proven records at this level or higher. That would be such a signal of intent for the coming season!
6. 09 July 2007 Earnshaw: I will miss Delia’s cooking Former Norwich City striker Robert Earnshaw has paid tribute to Delia Smith for lifting his spirits with a "get well" gift during his long injury lay-off last season. The 26-year-old Wales international, who made a swift exit from Carrow Road in a £3.5m move to Derby 10 days ago, said City''s joint majority shareholder sent him a parcel during his three-month spell on the sidelines after a groin operation. The cookery queen''s message summed up the friendly environment at Norwich, he said. "I didn''t want to leave Norwich because it is a great family club. "Not only will I miss Delia Smith''s cooking, but she sent me a football book when I was injured," said Earnshaw. "I was really down when the post came and there was a parcel on my mat. Normally I just get bills and I wondered what it was - it turned out to be a book from Delia with a message inside saying ''Get well soon''. That typified the atmosphere at Carrow Road. "Even so, I would have moved anywhere in the Premiership because I knew it would have a positive effect on my career.   Sorry... But I couldn''t resist!
7.
Mr Carrow, what a cynic, can you or any of the other detractors on this forum prove your cynical allegations against those that hold the purse strings. Can you prove that any of the money from the sale of past players has been siphoned off or used for other ventures. In fact can you prove any of your statements? How does this type of posting help anyone? Yes you could write to the club and ask a question or you could even email Neil Doncaster but what you cannot do is dissect ever response or statement and then bend or alter it to suit your cynical view and accusations. It is probable that football is the only place that you can get away with this type of stuff so if you are saying that your views would apply to all clubs then I guess we would all have to accept that football is full of the type of dishonest people you appear to think preside over our club. Is that what you are suggesting or is it just relevant to Norwich City?
Sometimes I really do wonder if we do all support the same team and want the same thing? I want Norwich to do the very best that a club of its size can. We have very impressive season ticket sales, the ground is nearly at capacity for every home game and away support is certainly better than a lot of Championship teams, we have one of the best grounds in the country, that hosts national games (at U21 level) and yet some people are still happy for mediocrity. We are not being ''cynical'' as you put it, merely asking the people who are accountable for the running of this club to stand up and really back the team. I''m not asking for money to be thrown at has beens, I''m asking for us to be consistantly linked with, and pushing hard to secure the services of some proven quality. I know you pro board posters will throw the old line of ''but what about Ashton, what about Earnshaw'' and I agree at times the board has pulled its finger out, but one or two swallows doesn''t make a summer. I always thought one of the oldest mantras in business was ''you have to speculate to accumulate''. Dare to live the dream!
8.

Couldnt agree more, The board seriously lacks the balls to get things done. During our last prem season we gave the impression we were one happy awe struck family just happy to have the likes of Sir Alex grace our little friendly stadium. I bet you all my money that most of the managers walked away from the Carrow road experiance wishing they could do it every week!
Nothing there but hyperbole and rhethoric.  I''m fairly certain that if any of the players who were here at the time read that, they''d feel that their integrity as professionals was being questioned. And didn''t we beat Man Utd 2-0 at home, making them look pretty ordinary in the process ?
Im not questioning the professionalism of the players. Im questioning the mentality of the people in charge of our club. Yes we did have successes. Beating Man U was a fantastic day, but yet again in was tinged with a ''Roy of the Rovers'' style atmosphere... Lets face it, that result did not reflect our season. If it did we would still be there, perhaps even Champions! All Im saying is that if the people in charge of the club have this attitude then where does our vision, or ambition, come from? The manager goes a long way but if he is not backed then he will soon find a club who does match his own goals. It has happened before and it will happen no doubt again. And who pays the price of dashed dreams... the fans.
9. People need to realise that our boards ambition is far outstripped by the fans. The Premiership year came as a pleasant surprise for those crones who oohhed and ahhed whenever Thierry or another star turned up and delivered some skill, we gave far too much repect to teams that year and that is the reason we are where we are. The reason we don''t make ''big name'' signings is often cited as the geographical location of ''little sleepy Norwich'' but I find it hard to see how a player, unless he is a really big name, cannot fail to be impressed with Norwich, as a club and a city. If this is the case why have we had Huckerby here for so long? Why did Dion opt for another year? There cant be many nicer areas for a person to move to in this isle?! We need someone on the board who has a bit of balls and nouse, who wants to get deals pushed through, the amount of time Sharp had was rediculous and the Dave the Striker deal is dragging its heels. I seriously believe we have the manager with the right attitude and hunger, but fear the boards failure to match it could lead to another ''Martin O''Neill''. I long for Norwich to grow into the club it really should be for this area! ON THE BALL CITY!!
10. I completly agree, Drury was perhaps picked to lead by example i.e last years performances but I think it too much of a burden fot him. Malky would be my first choice, experienced and very vocal. Flems leads by example as does Holt but 4 me its the Scot all the way!!
