  1. Am I the only Swiss Norwich City Fan ?? May the best team win ! We''ve got nothing to lose.
  2. I really dont think that is a fair statement , I think on his day hendo was as exciting as any player we had playing for us last season, he''s young and needs to learn but mark my words he is one for the future and whatever you think of him he played with heart and scored some cracking goals. It might take a few seasons for him to reach his peak and he will only get there if people like you get off his back and give him a chance.
  3. DAILY EXPRESS Aston Villa boss David O''Leary is willing to sell Rob Edwards, Peter Crouch and Marcus Allback to fund more signings.
  4. Many thanks for your help , my mind is at rest !
  5. It is such a shame our simple neighbours will have to spend another year in div 1 (before getting relegated to div 2 !!) This is rather embarrasing but can someone explain exactly where the "Bin men" tag comes from ? I mean I know they are a load of rubbish but I dont recall when they aquired this new name and exactly what caused it. Hope you can help, its been bugging me for a while. K.
  6. What we need now is a proven premiership quality player who can create goals for us, preferabley on loan with a fee agreed if it is a success. Sad but we have to move on, cant wait around worrying about what might have been. who is our next target ??
  7. I think the issue is who wants to move and why. Huckerby is surplus to requirement at Man City so they don''t want to pay his wages. Actually nobody wants to pay him what Man Citys contact value is. So as they want him to go they may offer to pay some of his contract to make it easier for him to sign for another club, and therefore not pay the full 18 months outstanding. If he was being poached by another club wanting to pay him more it wouldnt be an issue.
  8. True but do you honestly believe we have a squad that can challenge for the play offs ?
  9. I am so depressed I want to cry, Has the Board been so cynical as to lure us in to the Idea that we could actually be contenders in this division bringing in loan players to cover the signings we failed to make in the summer to ensure we dont get relagated and get us to buy more season tickets ? Or do they actually believe we have a hope with our remaining strikeforce of achieving anything ?? We have not got a team worthy of competing in this division let alone a squad and again we have allowed ourselves to get to within a day of our second striker waving goodbye without getting anyone in. Something should have been done weeks ago or are we in the dark ? Incompetent or cynically calculating ? You decide.
  10. Firstly I would like to start by saying I put my money where my mouth was yesterday and stumped up an extra £100 (through NCST) I have no interest in recieving another piece of paper to confirm my loyalty to the club. But the fact is the reason we have found ourselves in this situation is simply this. No only do we not have a large squad (two more strikers have dissapeared in recent months) but in all reality we have not had a team able to compete in this division all season, but for Mark Rivers early season form this would have been apparent way before the toothless display at Forest. We all knew we had to sign a new striker in the summer and we were linked with all and sundry, but they all went elsewhere for whatever reasons. So if Couch and Huckerby depart we may still find ourselves at the wrong end of this division come May. The truth is they have fitted into the team superbly and any other strikers we may try to tempt here still have every chance of falling into the "Mike Sheron" scenario. I hope that Jarvis will prove himself before the end of the season and Henderson Is getting far to much stick considering his age scoring record and comittment (Come on get off his back !) But these are the future. To have any chance of keeping up our current form we have to try and keep this team together, otherwise we are starting from scratch. Maybe it was a good Idea getting these players in maybe not, maybe it has given us expectation that we should be able to see the sort of football at Carrow road that I was brought up on rather than what we have been served up for the most part over the last years. I hope that I am pleasantly surprised but I must admit none of the names being mentioned at the moment excite me but with the Ipswich game just around the corner I am preparing myself for a miserable christmas.
  11. OK I was one of those and I''m proud to say I just contacted NCST and donated my £100 along with my £10 membership that they will use to purchase shares in the club. Checkout www.ncst.org.uk after all its pointless me buying more shares that will sit in a drawer with the ones I bought a few years ago. Come on then you lot lets show we can make a difference !
