gitto 0 Posted January 31, 2015 Why are decisions about future and present footballing matters decided by people with absolutely no real knowledge of footballing matters? ie businessmen and stock brokers. You may as well have a referendum among supporters and hold elections for all important decisions and appointments involving the club. It''s called democracy and would get rid of any important decisions being taken away from personal issues like the sacking of successful managers ( I''m not talking about Neil Adams by the way) and the hiring of high risk alternatives etc etc etc
djc 0 Posted January 31, 2015 Democracy doesnt work in football.Take this season at Norwich for example. How many fans or supporters wanted Neil Adams as manager? How many wanted Bassong out of the club on loan at Watford? How many think Bassong should now be a fixture in our team? How many who actually wanted Neil Adams think he should still be manager?Who should our first/next signing in the January transfer window be?Who should we get rid of?So, democracy - of all the questions above, every one person who bothers to read this will come up with differing opinions. Thats why democracy wont work in football (well, other than Fifa corruption, allegedly....)
A Load of Squit 5,164 Posted January 31, 2015 Lookup Ebbsfleet Utd. & Myfootballclub, the first experiment of this kind in English football, it didn''t go well.Having said that there''s no reason why someone shouldn''t try it again as long as that someone isn''t us. gitto 0 Posted January 31, 2015 A football club whose major decisions are decided by people with absolute no idea of football doesnt work either

djc 0 Posted January 31, 2015 Not sure if you are allowed to ''wonder where this is going'' on your own. you may need democracy to answer the question for you.
kantata soul 0 Posted February 1, 2015
What about a panel of ex-players and/or coaches managers?
A footballing executive board? We''ve got one of those but for some reason it''s chaired by McNally.
BroadstairsR 2,168 Posted February 1, 2015 He who pays the piper calls the tune.Who is the "he" though? The 26, 000 who turn up every two weeks or the peoples who have, at times, pumped much needed millions into the Club?
A Load of Squit 5,164 Posted February 1, 2015
What about a panel of ex-players and/or coaches managers?
I suppose that Salford City is currently the closest to the above but the ex-players involved still had to find a weathly Thai businessman to get involved.
