Katie Borkins 1 Posted February 1, 2015 To solve our managerial crises, I hereby propose that Mustard TV launches a "The Coach" reality show where lots of talented locals get to compete to be the next Norwich City manager. It''s basically like "The Voice" but good, and without Tom Jones.Each coach has to pass a "fan test" and then a coaching audition where one of Dave Stringer, Mike Walker, Gary Megson and Mike Phelan has to "turn around" during the session. We then go into a "Coach-Off" before the final test, taking charge of the Youth Team for an actual match.Delia and MWJ would go for it because the winner would bleed yellow and green and deeply love the club, McNally would see the commercial side (if it went well, this could do for him what X Factor has done for Simon Cowell) and the fans would get what they wanted.The fact we could repeat the show every year should also work nicely with our current managerial tenures.This is the future of football recruitment.Mustard people - if you are reading this, PM me and we can discuss my fee. KoromaCrab 0 Posted February 1, 2015 Would the final involve 2 taking charge of two consecutive games? I can imagine the TV audience claiming unfairness there. I see an alternate final where two finalist manager get to pick their respective line up from all of the u21 youth squad, picking players one by one alternating like on a school play ground. With real time access at half time to show the team talks "live".Maybe they could gets some ex-luminaries like Daryl Sutch and Dale Gordon to explain what the coaches are trying to convey and how their tactics are affecting the game.
