Joanna Grey 0 Posted July 17, 2013 No Barnett either.Obvious with our two first choice centre backs staying here that our best U-21 defender, Gafaiti, would be called up (presumably we have pre-booked 25 hotel rooms, flights, etc. for players). Also good to see that Josh Murphy can now get a chance to step up a level.
AJ 1,359 Posted July 17, 2013 Oh dear, having to choose from Ayala, R Bennett and R Martin as center-backs don''t fill me with huge confidence! It will be interesting to see who else we bring in to cover that position
HillsboroughCanary 0 Posted July 17, 2013 Watch out for conspiracy theories on Bassong and Turner!(Bassong operation / injury recuperation, but what about Turner? Not heard anything about him on the injury front - anyone?)
Lavanche 0 Posted July 17, 2013 Well as he had that injury end of the season it is quite sure that he just wont be risked in friendlies too early and works with fitness in more secure conditions.
AJ 1,359 Posted July 17, 2013 The quote from Colin is; “I think it was better for the ones left at home, Seb (Bassong) and Michael (Turner) especially, to stay there. They wouldn’t have taken part in any of the games over the 10-12 days."
