I stumbled across this, and thought I''d share for those who are interested. It''s a MLS podcast, with a lengthy interview with Kai Kamara. He does say that he was told ''not at the moment'', maybe he thinks that leaves the door open slightly?

Suggests to me we would have taken him if relegated as he is good champ standard but will now pass and look at better.

I interpreted it the other way. i.e. If we knew we were in the Premier League, and knew our transfer budget, then we would have bought him.You might be right though.
