Meanwhile the binman

Recommended Posts

While we just contained the dutch champions and worldwide force that is Ajax of amsterdam and got a draw. On the back of beating former European Champions Celtic.

Then binmen have just been beaten by the Shrimpers of Southend, on the back of a loss to the hatters of Luton.

I know its only pre season, but i like that Ipswich are making my sides split, while we mix it up with Football Royalty.

Sorry but have you not heard that nobody on here cares about our arch rivals just down the A140 anymore? Those famous victories of the season before last are a distant memory and our 1985 Milk Cup semi final win counts for absiolutely nothing because it is all about everything Aston Villa from now on in. Interesting how times have changed.   Ipswich are a distant memory now and will remain so as long as we appear so many poles apart.  Yet it was only a season ago that  it was the best thing ever to beat them 5-1.

It also shows how quickly things can change in football!     Lets enjoy where we are and not think too much about our friends from down the A140.  There may be a time when they will enter our consciousness again, but lets enjoy the fact we''ve got bigger fish to fry!   Ip-who?

Was forgetting that i no longer need to big up our achievements in recent years when compared with theirs, none the less they were European Champions!

Episode of lovejoy back in the 90s i think, basically the bin men went out on rounds in blue and Scum hats and clothes and went diving in the bins.

Lovejoy was set in Suffolk starring Ian McShane and the actor playing one of the binmen in the Scum baseball cap was Warren Clarke.

[quote user="Ncfc"]Former European Champions Celtic  lmao , that''s going back in time a bit .

Celtic are indeed former European Champions, as apparently our feeder club Leeds are the Chumpions, Chumpions of Europe.

Paul Jewell has today said Ipswich are no where near good enough , not what you want to hear from the manager nearing the start of a new season . Even funnier though they put a clause into Wickhams sale giving them first option on a loan but it turns out they cannot afford to pay three quarters of his wages that was also in the agreement so no Wickham return .

So much for all that waving £20 notes at CR when they were bought by the arms dealer. Funny how Evans never wrote that debt ofF and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. They don''t own their ground, they had to sell their training ground and they can''t afford a Category 1 Academy. Oh dear, you''d need to have a heart of stone not to laugh.Another couple of seasons in the Prem for us and a couple more failure seasons by the Paupers and that financial divide will become a permanent feature in the Pride of Anglia stakes.Love it.[;)]
