steve b 0 Posted June 3, 2012 Rafa Benitez dark horse for the job,
Indy_Bones 444 Posted June 3, 2012 Possibly one of the few options who''d do more squad rotating than Lambert did.Let''s chuck Ranieri into the mix as well to really carry on the ''tinkering''.Personally I''m not a big fan of Benitez, He''s often spent good money on average players and we can''t afford to do that. He rates Heskey FFS, that should be enough on it''s own to dismiss him from consideration!
Mervmeister 18 Posted June 3, 2012 Lets be realistic as well guys. There is no way we would be able to attratc Benitez to Norwich and even if we were able to there is no way in hell we would be able to pay his wages.
Mahogany 0 Posted June 3, 2012 You never know, maybe he fancies a different challenge? As for wages if we go for Hughton isn''t the compensation supposed to be about 2 million? Malky is on a 4 year contract so he''ll probably cost a fair bit. Surely if we use to 2 million in extra wages rather than compensation we could afford him.Doubt it''ll happen though. AJ 0 Posted June 3, 2012 Rafa ?If the transfer kitty is 40-50m maybe. And the wage bill wants to be tripled over nightSteve Bruce is my hunch after what I heard yesterday
Howson is now! 0 Posted June 3, 2012 To be fair to him, if squad rotation wins you the Segunda division, la liga, The UEFA cup, The Spanish cup, the champions league, the FA Cup, The community shield, runners up in the premier league, The club world cup, to a Carling Cup final, and a more than 50% win percentage, the manager could rotate his squad all he likes. steve b 0 Posted June 3, 2012 you never know, 6 months ago nobody would of thought Liverpool would go for Brendon Rodgers,
Barry Brockes 157 Posted June 3, 2012 This would be the same Rafa Benitez would it who insisted on personally handling players'' contracts at Liverpool which has left them paying the likes of Glen Johnson a reported £150k a week. Can''t see Mr. McN buying into that one.
