Setting off to Newcastle...

Recommended Posts

Right that''s me off to Newcastle in a minute. Looking forward to a good night out in Jesmond tonight.

Good luck to the travelling Yellow Army.

I have a feeling Lambert will have the tactics right for this one, should be an entertaining game I hope.

Agree, what a great place Jesmond is!We stayed in the Calidonian Hotel and got there at about 2pm on the Saturday.Spent the next 10 hours in Osbornes, Bar Berlise and Blanc. Great time with the very friendly locals.Ended

up in ''As you like it'', a bit further towards the city. Live band,

great atmosphere and shared rounds of pints and shots with some

Newcastle lads. Sunday was a struggle but by kickoff was starting to

feel normal-ish!Shame about the game. I was in the Millburn Stand and there just seemed little tempo or urgency from either team. Thought

Holt should have come on earlier and had we continued to press the back

four like we did soon after their goal, we could have got something.

They didn''t like that pressure. Drive home to Worcester was tough with all the roadworks and trying to stay awake.Anyway, on to Wolves and we need those 3 points and quick!

Hey Jonno.

Small world! We found our way to As you like it, great vibe going on, band were good and the locals were friendly.

Like you, hangover from hell Sunday morning but had recovered enough by the time the match kicked off.

I was in the Milburn stand too. Were you in the lower tier towards the back to the left of the dugouts?

I spotted one or two city scarves just down below us.

Hi WOAS,Was a great night. You weren''t the geezer who lost his black jumper?!?!Was fun in there! We were in the 1892 club as had tickets (and hotel . . . and most of my beer!) paid for by a company I do business with up there. As we looked at the pitch we were virtually level with the goal at the Gallowgate End, quite low down.

No, sadly all clothing remained intact!

No it wasn''t you then, this was up the other end.

We were also lucky enough to be treated by a company we deal with. They also took us out Saturday night and put us up and refused to let us pay for anything.
