I've kept quiet about Wednesday up until today's game...

...because I know Lambert has the ability and usually turns it around after a bad performance.

Whilst the majority of you were losing your heads midweek or blindly following Paul Lambert because in your eyes he is the all seeing, I was firmly plonked on the fence. Wednesday night was a bad performance, one to forget, the players were hurt, the fans, probably hurt more. As a unit (fans and club) we had to move on from it and today was a perfect opportunity to put it to bed straight away and how well did we do it!

So I guess the final thing to say about Wednesday would be, its games like v Sunderland away that are not going to define our season, it is games at home to Bolton which we should be winning and we did, our home form (like Swansea''s) has been exceptional this season, but its our away form thats carrying us through and is why we only need (what is it?) 1 more point to surpass our previous ''Premiership'' attempt in 2004/5. I firmly believe we actually only need another 4 points to stay up but we''ll get more than that and I expect us to finish on around 48 and in 12th position, an absolutely astounding achievement given our resources and where we were less than 3 seasons ago!

I must admit I was worried when we lost Ayala and Whitbread to injury and I am concerned for the next match but the lads who came in done a great job, obviously Martin has played there for about a 1/3 of the season and Naughton was exceptional, he was my tip before Whitbread went off, what he lacks in height, he gains in spacial awareness and speed.

I guess my final question to you all is, can we and will we approach Posh about getting Bennett in earlier? perhaps we can chuck them a few more quid for the trouble!

As far as I am aware, the terms of an emergency loan deal rule that out. But don''t quote me on that.Incidentally, I believe FIFA are looking to ban emergency loans in a couple of years time.

I was the same peas. Some of the dribble written on here was embarrassing . I can sort of understand if someone had made the long trip to sunderland wanted a moan. I didn''t go but made my 7 hour round trip to carrow rd yesterday and enjoyed it. Lamberts teams always bounce back and with two very hard games coming up we needed the 3 points yesterday. As for Bennett I believe we dint want to loan him back and they wanted him for the rest of the season so the month was negotiated. Don''t think we will see him for a while.
