Yobocop 1,444 Posted August 7, 2011 Robert Green - started life back in the Championship with a 1-0 defeat at home to the hands of Cardiff. Pundits said he was at fault for the goal scored by Kenny Miller. This result comes the day after Green was recalled for Fabio Capello''s England squad to face Holland in Wednesday''s friendly match just 3 days before the start of the Premiership season (which obviously doesn''t effect Green) Jason Shackell - made his debut for Derby County this weekend, and registered a goal in an impressive 2-1 win for The Rams against recently relegated Birmingham City. Shackell will hope to impress at Derby this season under boss Nigel Clough who must surely be in ''last chance saloon'' with the Derbyshire club. Luke Daley - made his debut for Plymouth Argyle v. Shrewsbury in the relegated teams bow in League 2, Plymouth drew the game 1-1 with a goal in the last minute from veteran Carl Fletcher. Daley completed a full 90 minutes and will hope that Plymouth will make an instant return to League 1 this season. Owain Tudur Jones - played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle this weekend and ''setup'' Hayes for the 2nd goal. Tudur Jones will want to stay injury free and start to show manager Terry Butcher the potential he had at Swansea. Gary Doherty - has just started his 3rd season at League 1 level in his 2nd season with Charlton Athletic, came in as a last minute sub for Bradley Wright-Phillips in Charlton''s 3-0 win v. Bournemouth, probably a defensive substitution rather than Doherty going on to play upfront!!!Ian Henderson - In another impressive opening away-day display by Colchester Henderson netted a brace. Whilst Henderson shone in our last promotion season he never fully hit full potential and Carrow Road and will hope to be successful this seaosn with Colchester. Ex-loanee Michael Rose made his debut for Colchester in this match. Jamie Cureton - Cureton will not be happy with his debut for Leyton Orient as The O''s were 1-0 losers to a buoyant Walsall side. Cureton will hope to create his goalscoring heroics from last season with Exeter City. Cureton now has had more clubs than Tiger Woods.
Mister Chops 7 Posted August 7, 2011 Good post, but keeping this up all season will drive you insane. Also - Lee Croft played 90 mins for Derby (I guess they have a pie seller who patrols the touchline).
