Never mind the danger...

Recommended Posts

H''lo, I don''t normally post, but thought I''d weigh in with some thoughts regarding the run-in. I''m sure much of it has probably been said before, and whatever''s left is probably only stating the obvious, but nonetheless, a sudden rush of blood to the head after looking again at the schedule has prompted a rare post!

Much has been said about the fitness levels of our squad brought about by Lambert''s regime; with an upcoming schedule of three games in six days (Swansea - Watford - Forest) and a busy schedule thereafter the players fitness will be severely tested.

Here''s hoping we get through those games without injuries. Pretty much the whole senior squad will probably play their parts in the final push, and the recent signing of two loan strikers I believe will ultimately prove crucial to us.

It has been a massive effort from the players to get us into this position in the table, and it will need another massive effort to get to the finishing line in the same position, but I think that''s where we have the advantage over teams; our solidarity, team spirit and aforementioned fitness we''ll see us home, along with the winners mentality injected by Lambert and the momentum gained in last years chase to the title. Not to mention our support.

Our team in the last two seasons has inspired a confidence in us fans that we haven''t felt for some time. Our part in the remaining games is to let them know we believe in them and inspire them onwards in return, fill them with confidence and pride as they do with us.

Give them the support they deserve and watch them unlock that door.

ON THE BALL CITY!

I always think the sign of good fans is that were we to get an indifferent result against Swansea or Scunthorpe, we''d raise the roof with OTBC not boos. That would stir the boys up and who knows the affect on moral...
