211203 0 Posted March 16, 2011 Had a bit of free time and thought it would be interesting to cover our late goals and points Scunthorpe A - injury time winner by Holt = 2 pointsSwansea H - 2 goals 87 and 90 to win 2-0 = 2 pointsBarnsley H - winner scored on 80 mins = 2 pointsBurnley H - injury time equalizer = 1 pointCoventry A - winner on 87 mins = 2 pointsSheff U H - goals on 84 mins and stoppage time to win 4-2 = 2 pointsCardiff H - last minute equalizer = 1 pointSheff U A - winner on 80 muns = 2 pointsMilwall H - winner in stoppage time = 2 pointsReading H - winner in stoppage time = 2 pointsBristol C - 89 and stoppage time to win 3-1 = 2 points Probably been done already but satisfying to see them listed. So I make it 20 points from late goals ( no I haven''t bothered to list the late goals conceded and points we''ve lost).Interestingly as far as I can see, we haven''t scored any goals in the last ten minutes where we were already winning at the 80th minute. Overall 28 goals in the last 10 minutes of Norwich gamesIncidentally we have scored late when we''ve been winning - Martin got his 2nd goal v Gillingham in the Carling Cup (90+2) to seal a 4-1 win (albeit no league points at stake)
Blurboy1980 36 Posted March 16, 2011 Ya know mentally teams if its a draw or up by 1 and Norwich start pressing in the last 10 mins they gotta be thinking ohhhhh god here we go again, we are going to be the next victims. Teams have to be thinking that. Were getting famous for our late strikes now. Its always mentioned now during games It has to be mentally draining for the other team. Superstitious Dave 0 Posted March 16, 2011 we''re not called the "injury time specialists" for nothing lol! Some people call us lucky, I call it never-say-die attitude! A lot of credit has to go to the players but we never done it under any other manager. ONE PAUL LAMBERT!!
