Deserved a chance and not really fair to judge him on his first start this season.  He was poor from the sounds of things, hindsight is wonderful, perhaps a bit too much to play Holt, Hoola, Chrissy and Macca, expect Lappin to be back at the weekend.

I''m not saying he is/was any poorer than the others but to put him into the side basically meant a change of system, we lost a recognised midfield player in Lappin and brought in an attacking winger in McNamee.

Smith & Crofts  alone wa never going to be enough to shut down a very strong passing midfield on their own patch.

For me, we can''t have 4 players effectively ahead of the ball and out of the game when we don''t have the ball.
