So I invite the critics to argue over some more detailed and very well sourced stats, which show him actually scoring many goals for Rochdale and showing his subs appearances, as well as his cup goals. If you are going to place a player under scrutiny then at least do it properly.Lets av it. Fuglestad 0 Posted July 25, 2009 I''ll tentatively say well done Mr Velasco, on posting something based on evidence, and correcting that pesky Wikipedia. Holt looks like a great signing, scores when he gets regular games. Can we not start to boo him if he doesn''t score in the first five games though?

But if that''s refering to me - I think you''ll find I was questioning the wikipedia stats rather than outright criticising him because of it. I was asking the people who are happy with the signing to explain their reasons as I was hoping to be pleasantly suprised - and I was.So no, I won''t try to ''pick that record apart''. I never wanted to. [^o)]
Gingerpele 0 Posted July 25, 2009 That is actually much better than i thought form some of the impressions some people give on him, and from what i have seen/heard of him, not perfect, but should do well (doesn''t seem to get injured much, apart from that 1 season at forrest from the look of the appearances there)
Tookie140 0 Posted July 25, 2009 Anyone try Soccerbase League and cup.
William Darby 0 Posted July 25, 2009 As anybody can alter Wiki, I have noticed some players'' goals are shown as just league goals, some are league and cup. Wiki in that case can be misleading.
JuanVelasco 27 Posted July 25, 2009 NCFC_Shaun, it was aimed at about 10-15 people, but don''t let your insecurities get in the way of a good argument. I hadn''t even heard of you until you posted on this thread, but if you want to have a go then go for it. I can argue all night.
JuanVelasco 27 Posted July 25, 2009 "Anyone try Soccerbase"Hi Tookie, the stats are gave do include League and Cup. He is on 99 league and cup goals.
Guest Posted July 25, 2009 He might be on 98 or he might be on 99, depends if Forest''s 2nd goal at Blackpool on 8th August 2006 was his or in fact Jack Lester''s. [:D]

I thought that was aimed at me as I had posted a thread not long before you made this about why I am unconvinced about the Holt signing - and then criticised him from the game today. Didn''t mean to start an argument for the sake of it.

Guest Posted July 27, 2009 The Barrow stats must be wrong, no league appearances in two years?? The professional goals on there total 98. In terms of overall career goals he must be well over 100.
