Three new directors for Norwich City

Three new directors have joined the board of Norwich City, the football club revealed this afternoon.

Alan Bowkett - who retired as chairman of the construction firm Redrow earlier this week - has been appointed the new club''s chairman. Also joining the board are David McNally, who was appointed chief executive last month, and Stephan Phillips, managing director of Archant Norfolk, the parent company of the EDP and Evening News.

Well, well.

Well, there hasn''t been an official denial yet concerning the Archant report of a ''new club''. But, then damp squibs are really the order of the day at carrow Road, aren''t they.
