Billabong Willytickle 0 Posted January 16, 2009 I keep reading various bits in the media about the club looking at getting in a short term manager until the end of the season.I cannot for the life of me understand why the club are considering this as an option. Can anyone explain to me why they think it''s a good idea?
shortfatb 0 Posted January 16, 2009 It''s relatively low cost and they won''t be stuck paying off somebody who proves to be even less effective at keeping a team up with no players and no money than the last 3 managers when we are relegated.

They also won''t have to sack another manager at end of season if we go down. One thing we can be sure of is that more loans will be coming in at some stage in near future. Think we can still get loans in after transfer window.
ca 1 Posted January 16, 2009 Because they maybe don''t want to rush into anything and get it wrong again so to put someone in charge until the end of the season and see how it works out gives them more time.
Morph 31 Posted January 16, 2009 As a couple of posts in recent days have commented why don''t they look for a manager who will take the club forward to the end of the season with the goal being that the man appointed proves he is right for the job in the longer term. "Go earn a longer contract from us by keeping us up and implementing a sound backroom strategy for future development!.I don''t see what is wrong with such reasoning. They did it to Kinnear at Newcastle.
