Cheers for the kind words LGT,

really chuffed with the qualification and have learned some amazing concepts and theories over the last three years. I think the key is applying this to practice. From my experience this is difficult as all social workers appear to be fire fighting and thus lack the time to intervene creativly.

However there is this amazing project in London called Kids Company. Gong to meet with this organisation as they appear to be on the right tracks in making lives better for vulnerable individuals. They have an eighty percent success record and have sent 120 kids though university.

I think I have got the DVD sorted; so triple pleased now.

PS- Love your signature; very engaging!!

You know its not just numbers its respect that front line staff need for what is a dreadfully stressful job. The tabloid chose to forget all the good work done, the lives saved, the abuse ended and published pictures of the guys whose hands are often tied by those above in the management and political chain. Targets to be met, money to be saved. Money needs to be increased for the front line workers and here the Union is to blame as they insist on pay according to qualification and time in employment rather than job that is done.
