Steady on whilst it think Stefanovic was foolish to get sent off as he did there are many more players and people involved with this club to blame for tonight. We failed to score again. we missed sitters again and we have a glut of player who can''t score anywhere near often enough for the level in which they are playing and the position they are picked for. We have failed to take our chances. That has allowed Southampton to take advantage and caused the situation that lead to the petulance that saw our player sent off.Score first and control the game. For the mess that our club is in now im surprised we got him to be honest.The problem must lie in the service (as always). Set plays, it seems are as weak as ever (do we ever practice set plays on the training pitch??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!), creativity in the centre of the park is non existent, and why oh why do we decide to set out with a lop sided formation.......?Thats exactly what it is.....since going down from prem all the opposition needed to do was double up on our left side and that was us done. If we continue to play this ridiculous one winger policy we will suffer the same fate.4-4-2 has, is, and always will be the best way for an english club to play.....that means 2 wide midfielders/wingers with 2 overlapping full backs....balance on either flank, its not rocket science and id say is easily achieved with our current squad.....lets just get back to basics and play as we should.........we dont have xabi alonso, arteta, fabregas in our midfield.......we cant pick that killer ball. so lets just get it to the byline, get our midfield up in support and keep it simple.OTBC Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
