a1canary 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Consider the following:1. Delia''s comments at the show - "i''m not allowed to say anything, i''ve got to behave" giggle giggle snigger2. No contact between Cullum and the board since October3. Cullum has gone public, many months after initial approach4. Delia and co will have known that when the news broke of the Cullum offer they would be slaughtered - UNLESS they had an alternative up their sleeve5. The silence from the board about the Cullum offer Why would the board not say anything at all about the Cullum offer when it became public knowledge unless they had an alternative, that still required some more details ironing out. I''m willing to bet it''s the Turners, offering, say an unconditional £8-12m for player transfers. That way, there''s no complicated issues about ownership and shares to sort out. I still think the board should make an effort to get Cullum on board in some way, much like the Turners. If he doesn''t want a seat on the board (which puzzles me a little) then he can let one of his ''people'' on the board. But again, that''s puzzling, since his ''people'' presumably won''t be city fans and hence won''t have the same ''emotional investment'' of which Cullum is talking. Show Me What You Gooot! 0 Posted June 30, 2008 If they don''t accept Peter on board, they won''t accept anyone. There is no better person who fits their little criteria than him.
canary cherub 1 Posted June 30, 2008 The basis for your argument appears to be that Delia always tells the truth. No one always tells the truth, not even Delia.
colneycanary 0 Posted June 30, 2008 Yes i was thinking this too. But i doubt its even close to Peter Cullum''s offer. Any new investment is great but why after being offered this fantastic offer in october of last year Delia, MWJ and the Turners have not got back to him. Its been 6 months. I thought they had the best interest of the club at heart?? This tells me they clearly havent and all this silence from them now is making me pretty angry! WeAreYellows49 0 Posted June 30, 2008 You aren''t alone in being angry about the deafening silence coming from the Club.I cannot understand why, if there is anything incorrect in what PC has said or there are other offers on the table, Queen Delia should tell us. We are only two of 20,000 mushrooms, which are YET AGAIN kept in the dark by our board.I fully understand not being expansive about anything that may be going on in opposition to the offer from PC, but I would like some form of explanation as to why we were left in the dark by the board when clearly there was help available since October. In their interview some months ago they stated that they would be happy to talk to anyone who could invest in the club, if they did not see PC as a danger to their status then they would have come clean IMO.What really hurts me is that we could well have ended up like Leicester City in Div 1 through them refusing the help that was clearly offered. It strikes me that it''s Delia''s little norwich club, rather than the club belonging to the supporters. She needs to remember that no supporters means no club.I do feel that Peter has got increasingly frustrated with Delia and co, and felt that he had no option than to go public after again sitting through the last few tense weeks, and no disrespect to Sammy or Wes, watching more players leave and only rumours as to other players coming in prior to pre-season, which forgive me if Im wrong, but I think starts tomorrow.
