Clint 221 Posted March 3, 2008 .......he seems to be living off the back of the unbeaten run.We have had four relatively easy matches since the excellent win at Cardiff at have gained a measly 4 points and had two complete ''no shows'' to boot. After each of these performances Roeder has said that he doesn''t want to be too hard on the players because they have done fantastically well to go unbeaten for such a long time. If, as is likley, we lose to Watford tomorrow night it will be 3 defeats in 5 games and we need to stop the rot or we will get dragged back into the relegation dogfight. We have some very tough matches over the next few weeks and how long will Roeder persist with praising the boys after their excellent unbeaten run?!?!The honeymoon period appears to be well and truly over. Asobi Seksu 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Well we don''t know it''s football anything can happen. But we are in a very good poistion 7 away from playoffs 9 away from safety if you would have told me in october we would be in this poistion in march I would have thought you were in a dreamland! But my point is we loose a couple and it''s the end of the world we win a couple and we''re going up. Look I really don''t think we''re going DOWN!Can''t you be positive for once? I mean you are supporter and you should support your football team. Not after a couple of defeats complain that we''re going down!
Clint 221 Posted March 3, 2008 I''m not suggesting we are going down but it''s possible that we could get dragged back into the fight. Based on the last 4 performances, the games coming up and the fact everyone else keeps picking up points, I would say its highly possible. My point is, how many bad performances will it take until Roeder stops going on about how well we were playing up until our recent poor run of form? If we lose the next two, which is more than feasible, will he still be praising the players for putting together such a wonderful run even though we will have only picked up 4 points in 6 games since?! Re the playoffs, no one and that includes current and previous staff should even be comtemplating play offs until we have actually won more games than we have lost as quite frankly its rediculous. I don''t recall too many occurances over the last few seasons where that situation has actually arose.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Roeder has got history with Watford and a part of me wonders if he took a gamble on Saturday with the desire to take a strong side to Vicarage Road (excluding Rusty). Roeder will not want to be embarrassed by Watford.
