i cant actually believe that people on here are thinking, that Glen set out tonight to play a weaker team, to lose at Bury and prove to the board we need to buy some players. I havent heard anything quite like it.

What would Roeder have done if we''d have equalised? Changed Formation to 5-0-5 so bury knock us out in extra time, tell David Marshall to ''accidently'' roll the ball onto the ground to kick it, when Andy bishop is behind him? Or tell all our players to take penalties with their weaker feet and hope no-one notices.

I think we can see by the selections that the cup isnt our main priority. However, remember this, Evans was ineligable and Dublins 38, and we want him fit for a big league game on Saturday. Cureton, Jarvis and Martin were are only other strikers, so Bury or Man UTD 2 of them would have played. Otsemobor i read is injured so that accounts for that change. That leaves Bertrand and Huckerby, Glenda isnt trying to prove Bertrand is weak and we need a left back because hes signed him. As for Huckerby, beforehand despite his poor form, youd have fancied him to cause Bury a problem or two.

Not sure about proving to the board we need new players however I wonder what team we would have put out had we drawn one of the big Prem teams at home, of course we will never know......

we didn''t lose on purpose no, but the main question is, are they botherd, or just worried about the league, it is nice to get a cup run, and the extra money, but I''m not that botherd, I''m not saying it doesn''t matter or they didn''t bother with the game, I''m am more worried about not getting relegated (mainly because i will win £10 :D)
