Essexyella 0 Posted June 9, 2004 I confess it was i who was seen on sky sports yesterday 5 balls into their cricket coverage of Essex v Hampshire at chelmsford. Me and a mate sat in the top tier and waited for the cameras to be drawn to shirts! It should be everyones objective this summer to be seen proudly in the yellow and green at media covered events. There was also a tractor boy in the same stand in a top from about 1995 but was as cameragenic. The next objective is to get on sky again when the cameras are at romford dogs in july. susie b 0 Posted June 10, 2004 Surely we can manage a few shirts at Wimbledon this year? I cannot go as I am working and am not allowed to take leave until after the beginning of July, but I''m sure some of you others out there might be popping in to take a look at SW 19! If so, how about dazzling all the non-Brits by wearing the canary yellow?! Might cheer the place up if the sun forgets to shine!
Essexyella 0 Posted June 10, 2004 gazza, last time i was at home of football was for the preston game and also took my girlfriend to sunderland and stayed up there the night!Took the opportunity to go to the ticket as my mate knows the groundsman so hence tickets were cheep! It was the first cricket ive been too since the smurfs were No 1 in the charts.Other claim to fame was winning the paddy power comp on talksport a few weeks ago and pocketing £200 in the bargain. Kathy 823 Posted June 10, 2004 My shirt will be going to California in a couple of weeks time (thats America not the one near Hemsby). Last year it went to Las Vegas and what was very annoying was the one day I didnt wear it I saw Adam Drury. He was going up the ''up'' escalator in Bally''s hotel while we were going down the ''down'' escalator. By the time it had sunk in that it was really him it was too late and we were on different floors. If I had had my shirt on that day, HE might have noticed ME. When I told the family they said ''Noooo couldnt have been. Probably someone who looks just like him''. I spent the rest of my holiday trying to spot him again to prove I was right but never did see him. However when we got back there was an article in the EDP about what the players had done over their summer break and it said that Adam Drury had been to Las Vegas. There were a few ''I told you so''s'' flying about our house I can tell you.Anyway, the point of all this is smelly or not, you must wear your shirts at ALL times as you never know when you are going to need them.
