Look Out Ipswich!

Recommended Posts

Just a few short weeks ago ( after the miserable away game at Plymouth ) Ipswich were in the playoff positions 16 points ahead of Norwich. Their fans had to be gloating. Then the international break followed by two weeks of Championship football activity and, now, we find ourselves just 8 points back and they can become our immediate target over coming weeks. Isn''t life grand.

Steady on Yankee, Town have three home games now and they are dominant at home - they prefer to play in front of smaller crowds.

One game at a time and let''s not get too table obsessed.

And a very fair one for a change. I agree its a fantastic achievement thanks to the board  who had the balls to appoint Roeder in spite of fans opinion and back him fully to date. What better incentive could the fans have (the players sadly dont have the same perspective) other than catching the dark end of the A140 and overhauling them.......game on

Have to say yankee that the same maths equation did cross my mind after a quick look at the table. Think finishing above them with both teams mid table is my goal for this season.

Dare not think beyond mid table because there is still a lot of hard work to go into our team before we can realistically look beyond that.

Bumped into some ''down in the mouth'' Ipswich at M11 services on my way home after the game, who were on their way back from Charlton, who conceded that we may have reversed our relative positions in the league by the time we meet again.

...which was rather charitable I thought...and I ''charitably'' agreed.
