Congrats DumbleDelia

Recommended Posts

Should we all say a big well done to Dumbledelia for passing 1000 posts on this site. If he were working for the post office he would probably be pensioned off now!

Essexyella, gazza and Wiz

A massive thank you guys and gals. I could not have written 1000 posts if there weren''t such fantastic posters such as yourselves. This site has such a wonderful mix of people and I thoroughly enjoy coming on here I''ll try to get to 2000 as soon as I can Wiz! I''ll aim to make it before we win on Boxing day!!

I''m doing Psychology with Criminology. I''ve found the first year really interesting. I''m especially interested in the Crim bit. My parents joke the are paying for me to be taught how to be a criminal! Ever since I was a kid I''ve been fascinated my crime. Crime books, tv shows etc I''ve always loved. It sounds a bit stupid but it''s great to do a course which I find interesting. I know some people at uni who don''t really like their course that much so they aren''t as motivated. I''ve always wanted to be in the police force, ever since I was a kid (might lose a few friends here!) That''s my goal once I''ve finished uni. I''ve got a few years to decide in what capacity I want to go in, but that''s what I want to do

Cheers for asking though gaz. What line of work are you in?

That would explain you doing the "forum policeman" bit on me when I suggested to the forum admins (not you) that they upgrade their forum software.

Hows that for a bit of psychology? ;)

bloody hell DD, sounds great, i have done some psychology myself, a natural choice for me eh? Did touch on criminology for a bit of the course too, as for going into the police force, good for you, i am sure your real mates will be proud of you! I really admire people who know what they want to do - i wish i had when i was your age, i worked with animals (horses and dogs) for a while, but there wasn''t enough money in that to live sadly, so had to face reality and train in something that paid the mortgage and fed the kids

now i work in an office - not what i want to do - but am going to start a course in massage and alternative therapies in september, which is what i want to do - so looking 4ward to that

all the best for your second year at uni, going to touch on something controversial here DD, what do you think of this new law on flying england flags on your car, would you pull someone over and fine them and put points on their licence?

You got me Herb!! Sorry buddy I don''t remember that! Apologies if I seemed harsh. The one thing about psychology which annoys me, is whenever I meet someone and they ask what I''m doing they always go "Ooh psychology. I bet you''re ananlysing me right now aren''t you!" Um, no actually!! I just have to laugh it off!

You should say "Nah, I sussed you right out about 10 seconds after I set eyes on you!" :)

I have to admit gazza I think I''m going to get fired from being a policeman after a few years! I think laws like that are pretty pedantic so no I wouldn''t pull people over! Also speed cameras I don''t particularly like! I think most of them are just money making exercises. Doubt I''ll mention these points in my interview though!

Your course which you start in Semptember sounds excellent. It''ll be great for you do something which you enjoy. If you need the practise I''m sure I won''t mind volunteering for a few free massages ;-)
