Vern 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I went to the ground at 8.30 this morning to see who the new manager would be. After seeing Glenn Roeder having his photos and interviews on the pitch (through the gate between Barclay & Jarrold) I headed off to Colney (we are allowed there on a Mon and Tues) to see him meeting the slackers. There were 5 of us there and after about 15 minutes security told us to leave. The players wouldnt come out until we did. What happened to our "family, community orientated" club??. Ever since we were banned from Colney and the training became secret we have done absolutely sod all. Are the players too good to talk to us??. How can a bunch of clueless footballers be too good to talk to the fans?

He needs a bit of privacy when he meets the players, surely ?Give the Club a break........

I would say they just have a big interest in their team. I see nothing wrong with that.

Alex Moss 2,167 Posted October 30, 2007 If people think it''s ridiculous that the new manager can''t meet his new players for the first time in privacy...Well you''re nothing short of mental!. It isn''t hard to understand, nor work out, the reasons - and bashing NCFC over this just goes to show there is an element of people that like nitpicking just for the sake of it. Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Alex,If the new manager wanted privacy on his first day (no evidence whether this was the case or not) then the club should have either explained the circumstances to the adoring waiting fans or just let the adoring fans have a quick hello with the new manager and then be requested to leave. Its a question as to how fans are treated.

In that case, I want my shares in Tesco as I''ve been buying their orange squash for the last 10 years. You''ll find sponsorship, advertising etc pays for a lot more than you do. Furthermore where do you think sponsors and people who advertise get their money from? The fans (please note my earlier comment : ''the fans who ...... buy the sponsors products and services). I look forward to you understanding and enjoying this post.
