UEA Canary 0 Posted July 17, 2007 Theres been a lot of over eaction to the sale of etuhu and earnshaw and lack of qlaity signings in defense and midfield. however its still only mid july and the transfer window closes on 31st of august. that leaves norwich 6 weeks to buy sum quality players. i dont believe we have £7m to spend liek sum believe but im pretty sure £3m at least is a fair estimate. i think we all no at least 1, probly 2 defenders are needed, as well as 2 midfielders, if safri leaves. currently fotheringham, brellier and hughes are only midfielders so depth is essential for long season, and im sure grant will buy wisely.so my message is just stay patient and wait a few weeks, at least to start of season to assess norwich chances this season as im sure there are a few more signings on there way, so all the dejection and pessimism shud be put on hold, as its not time to press panic button yet is it. Jesus we''re all abit taken aback by the news but then etuhu wasn''t the greatest player in the team, was he? And £1.5m sounds great for what most of us would''ve evaluated him at. We may even be losing Safri too but whats to say we won''t get anyone else in?What happened to the "theres still 5 weeks left of transfer window left, lets see what happens" feeling most of us had once? For all we know Bowyer or Watson or whoever could be lined up to come in. I bet you all suddenly change your tune again if it does happen. Just calm down and wait. If nothing happens in the coming weeks of the transfer window then by all means give the board hell.Even smudger has to admit that he said he''d wait until the transfer deadline finished before planning to protest. So many questions, 5 weeks to answer them! I feel sorry for Peter Grant if he really wanted Etuhu to stay (i suppose we will never know?) Etuhu leaves...... next central midfielder come in..... this is the evolution of Norwich, I say go with the flow and let Granty do his job.I will only judge Grant on his performance when the season starts.... I''m not mad about everything the board does, but this time it''s NOT their fault.I''m sad to see him go, when will it take supporters time to realise that booing players make''s them worse performers??I don''t care if the next bloke in midfield has only got 1 leg, he''ll get my support because he''s wearing the badge.
