BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Are these Peter Grant''s "Kids for buttons" a la West Ham strategy?Norwich RumoursHeard from a good source, that Paul Gallacher will be leaving the Canaries in the summer, as he has become unhappy at being dropped everytime a new keeper has been drafted in on loan. Safri is heading back to Coventry on a bosman. Expect a massive clearout with, Thorne and Mcveigh. There is the possibility of Earnie leaving if West Ham stay up, however this is very unlikely. Expect lower league players to be signed such as the 18 year old from Queen''s Park, Lee Kerr from Whitley Bay, Jon Main from Tonbridge Angels and Matt Mitchell-King from Histon.Another post on this site reckons that Leicester will be targetting Huckerby At least these changes would reduce the wage bill! But I really do think that Peter Grant should do everything he can to retain Safri. As for Hucks, he is already signed up for another year - but he could be off in January if we falter again and Leicester under Mandaric are in with a good shout of promotion.OTBC
dickyst220 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Agree that Gally will probably go. West Ham staying up ????? So, Earnie will not be going there..... don''t think we should sell him unless we make a profit.... Hucks will stay. I think Safri staying will depend on how many games he gets between now & the end of the season, I hope he stays. We just need some one to fill in when he needs a rest!!!!Hope you''re right about Thorne (he is either very lazy or very unlucky), & Mcveigh. Do you think Doc will stay ??? Think Hendo will go & possibly Jarvis.Ins.... all will be bargain basements I''m afraid as there is no cash in the kitty !!!!
JC 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Gallacher - ObviouslySafri - never going to go back to Coventry, what on earth would be the incentive? Also, Grant is not a complete fool and knows there are no better defensive midfielders who can pass for under 1.5 million floating around.Thorne & Mcveigh - we all know that as well, may as well add that young clown henderson to the listNon-leaguers - these boys are playing there for a reason, so nothing to get excited about, just people to pad out a squadHuckerby - he will retire at Norwich City, next season could be his last, I cant see him changing for one season personally.
