BRAVEHEART 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Concerning The Issue of Safri leaving the club. Peter Grant should reconsider his options before he decides to just not play Safri i.e.when Robinson returns from Suspension. To be quite honest PeterGrant is coming out with nonsense, making such a poor excuse thatSafri doesn''t fit into his tactical plans. Safri can play in any formation as a holding midfielder. In my opinion Safri is a must starter just oneof those players who you need in your team who will create things. For those who say he is out of favour could be right. But I personallythink he went through a time when he under-performed which is why I think Grant dropped him, thats how I see it. I can remember a similar situation with Mulryne and Worthington. Mulryne wasn''t played regularly because of he didn''t get stuck in, Worthington prefered Holtwho won the tackles but didn''t really get on the ball enough. PersonallyI reckon we should get Mulryne back as he would cost nothing, hes a free agent. And with Safri its the same Robinson shouldn''t be in the team, as Safri is better at playing the holding role. The way Safri played in the second half against Southend for me30 mins warrants him a place in the side, as we were much betterwhen he came on I thought. For me he was Man Of The Match, ifnot one of the best players on the pitch. I just hope that Safri makesthe most of his chance against QPR on Saturday as if he doesn''tperform then he may well find himself on the bench for a while in future which is kinda scarey when you think about it.To see Safri leave Norwich would certainly make me upset. BecauseSafri is such a great asset and would be a big loss if he left us. I''msimply SICK AND TIRED of Norwich City getting rid of their bestplayers as it is no good at all for the club. Lets just hope in future that Safri gets back his regular starting place before Grant sells him, and the club continues to go down hill,i.e. back where it started 10 years ago - a mid table club. Hartsons Gut 0 Posted December 29, 2006 I dont think that he has made enough of his opportunites over last season and this season. I think that he is the best we have but we can do better to be honest.
Attack Barclay 2nd Half 0 Posted December 29, 2006 Best midfielder we''ve had for years. Even on half tilt he''s better than Hughes and Robinson put together.Grant is not alone in his opinion, remember how Worthington continued to play Holt in preference to the obviously vastly superior Safri. So what was that about? Safri doesn''t pull his punches, that I know, could it be possible that two successive managers are that small minded they put the clubs best interests second when it comes to personal relationships?
