Canary_Ben 0 Posted November 23, 2006 Does anybody else think that from what they have heard, that Asmat should have been offered a professional contract? I''ve lost count of the times i have seen him in matchday programmes and seemed to be one of the few exciting products developed through our youth system. I realise that his car-crash incident caused a set-back, but i have been told he is an upcoming star for danish football. Does anyone else agree/ feel differently to what i''ve said? essexcanary 0 Posted November 24, 2006 i was quite surprised he wasnt offered a contract as well to be honestlooked and sounded like a decent prospect. could be another player who comes bk to haunt us!
Alex Harvey-Jones 0 Posted November 24, 2006 This doesn''t surprise me at all to be honest. Asmat hasn''t done that well at reserve or youth level and there''s nothing in his record to suggest he would make the grade at championship level. He has looked lightweight and he hasn''t been the same since the car crash. Martin looks a much better prospect for me. I think the club has got this one right - Danny Crow however they got wrong and Crow is a much better footballer than El Ouargui!
