Dionysus 0 Posted October 29, 2006 I''m getting fed up with our local reporters chickening out of asking "real" questions in their interviews with the manager. For example:"What on Earth made you play Hughes on the left wing and Doherty in midfield instead of using some of the youngsters in their favoured positions?"or"Why have you stuck with a formation that clearly does not work when certain players are missing?"I understand there is an element of ''you scratch my back, I''ll scratch yours'' between the club and the local media but this not productive in establishing good club/supporter relations. As manager of Norwich City, Peter Grant is accountable to the people who pay his wages. Indirectly, that would be us. How about setting up a regular web-chat with him to give us the chance to find out the things we really want to know?

Pete Raven 276 Posted October 29, 2006 Me too but I very much doubt the club would allow it considering they now know how to run webchats on their own site. I can ask though.
Cluck 0 Posted October 29, 2006 I''m sure the reporters would love to really get at the club and it''s Board..........but step outside official club and it''s goodbye interviews.......Not that I think Delia is that manipulative re the CR-PR department.........[;)]
Dionysus 0 Posted October 29, 2006 Excuse my ignorance but I haven''t registered with the main club site. Do they have regular webchats with the manager?
Pete Raven 276 Posted October 30, 2006 No, but having recently conducted a webchat with Fleming on there they clearly now have the technology to do so. Like I said, I''ll ask.
Dionysus 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Cheers Pete. I won''t hold my breath. I''m sure Peter Grant is far too busy trying to decide which formation to use for the next game. [;)] You never know - I have a feeling he''ll surprise me.
