Bobert 0 Posted September 27, 2006 So Ken Brown thinks there is no job security for football managers. Well who is he kidding? I think that a 12 month rolling contract on a salary of over £300,000 a year plus bonus''s is more than adequet security especially as if they do their job half decently they are unlikely to be sacked. I certainly am not going to feel sorry for Worthington if he has to leave his comfort zone at Carrow. He will certainly be able to pay off his mortgage!! Official Joe 0 Posted September 28, 2006 Personally, I think he is on at the very least £500,000 a year. For that, I would sit in the dug out for a couple of games and take a bit of stick. That is the whole reason behind this statement - Delia won''t want to pay up a year''s money so they try and get him to resign. But for a couple of uncomfortable weeks, Worthy will hang on for his pay off - and I don''t blame him.I doubt the next manager will be on a rolling contract. Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted September 28, 2006 I think Munby said it would take around a cool million to remove Worthy, Livermore and Foley. I would guess a fair proportion of that would have been Worthy''s salary.
