No wonder we''re not a selling team any more, we''ve hardly anyone of value to sell.

Despite the recent 30 million plus from the dalliance with the Prem, despite record attendances and gate receipts via sason tickets.....The intrinsic value of our team is less now than in the European glory days of well over a decade ago. Worthys policy of buy for today will cost this club dear for many years to come. Whoever succeeds Worthy (whenever that may be) will be left with little cash and very little in terms of marketable players to offload to begin the rebuilding process.

Green at £1.5 mill max and probably nowhere near that in real terms

And that''s it for big money assets.

The rest of the entire squad has a cumulative transfer value of probably £3 million total. Lot''s of old journeymen on free''s and low value transfers, even Safri would be lucky to raise half a mill with his attendancerecord.

So for the Sutton and Fox transfer money alone we could have assembled the entire Norwich squad at todays prices. Now tell me Worthys doing a good job. The money has been squandered on old players of limited resale value, loans, with no investment in youth or upcoming players from lower leagues we''ve been doomed for much longer than the one poor season we''ve just endured.

who cares where the money has gone - we are a compasionate and caring club and that has to be worthy something. We gave the great one a job with a proven record of failure and he has managed to send his kids to a very expensive school.

That makes me feel good and forget the demise of this great club. As long as Worthy is ok then nothing else matters...

Your estimate for the value of the squad is a guess, of course, but I

agree with the general principle of the post here... Though we do have

to mention Ashton, making a £3m profit, and selling Johnson for the

same price we bought him for despite an entire season without a goal...

Fox and Sutton were not bought but products of the youth system. What is most alarming for club like us is that we don''t seem to be producing Youth team players of note.
