macdougalls perm 0 Posted May 1, 2006 ZLF, you may well be right but I thought it was about that - it was hard to tell, particularly as people left their seats to move forward - thus making the open spaces looking larger. Anyway, can''t believe I''m getting that pedantic [:)], but I agree that at points yesterday Etuhu looked very good. And yes it certainly is unfair to say that people who can''t get to games are lesser supporters.
FilletTheFishWife . 0 Posted May 1, 2006
Certainly looked less than half from where I was stood Ted.Summary was we looked as good as any performance from the second half of the season for 45 mins only to get hit by a sucker punch on the stroke of half time (3 game in 4 thats happened).Wolves looked more danagerous up front all game but lacked possession in the first half when Etuhu looked excellent - MOTM by half time for me. For the second half our midfield lost any impact it had and we looked second best. Matt Murray looked excellent as did Joleon Lescottbut beyond them they looked pretty by just OK - nothing to worry about next season if we finally pull our finger out.
Could see that sucker-punch coming. Why can''t the players sense the deja vu too? Yes Etuhu was MotM.Robinson & Colin were poor. I actually think based on performances since Robbos'' arrival that he is actually worse than Hughes and Colin has no potential whatsoever. What disappointed me is stubborn Nigel''s reluctance to put JJ on the pitch (instead of Hendo?). He obviously doesn''t expect to keep him.The rest were average but average doesn''t win games.Gallagher 6Colin 4Doherty 6Fleming 6Drury 6Hughes 6Robinson 5Etuhu 7Huckerby 7Earnshaw 6McVeigh
ZLF 274 Posted May 2, 2006 Tongue in cheek, with a solid crowd behind the team but no protest = no win.[;)]
gary 0 Posted May 2, 2006 for me Robinson was MOTM - always winning tackles and playing simple balls well I thought McVeigh was totally anonymous , as was Earnshaw - wewere lucky that Wolves are a poor side or we would have lost by more -Aliadere was awful !!! Re teh Lap at the end , I stayed only because my kids wanted to -applauded them as they passed , but still wondering if they took theirkids to avoid abuse as people tend to be more reserved aroundkids - also fans say thanks , players thank fans , but onlysaw Etuhu and Colin actually on the track and not on pitch - don;treally think players wanted to even do it
