CanaryNut 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I have nothing against those that have registered their feelings through protests or via email postings etc or indeed direct letters to the Club. We must respect that we all have opinions as to what we see happening to our club and all have reasons for it.However, today saw chanting that I do not think was necessary. Yes Worthy might have a thick skin but I bet for most of the players, this was the first time they have played under such unsettling circumstances. I sit in the Jarrold Stand and noticed Safri sitting there for the whole game. Whilst he has said he appreciates the way the crowd have reacted to him, he probably thought quite the opposite when thinking of his team mates on the pitch. What I am saying is that there is a time and a place for everything and the feelings of today should not be expressed in the ground to such a degree. The Voice of the Thorpe Area 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I appreciate your feelings, but I disagree. Throughout the season, those players have had the following of devoted fans, home and away, in large numbers. What have these loyal fans had in return? Nothing. I think that we were right to show our feelings, it might put a rocket up their backsides.
Jimaldinho 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I was one of the people taking part in "negative chanting" . I was chanting "worthy out" and i was giving Hughes a hard time. Im sick of going to most away games and seeing players and coaching staff being payed more than most we know, playing and managing sh**. Norwich have the best fans and are a tolerant bunch of people in general and every game i go to i see them tw*** taking advantage of that. To Hughes'' credit he seems to be one of few in that team that actually give a crap but this guy is utter dross and is getting payed alot of money for what he does which takes the p1ss! I acknowledge its my choice to go to home games and away games but is it wrong in asking for a half decent performance in turn? I dont think so. Its just so fustrating watching a guy who we payed half a million for not being able to make a 3 yard pass all to often!
Dionysus 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Perhaps if some notice was taken of the protests, email postings or letters then there would be no need for negative chanting. Even an admission by Worthy that he has made some mistakes with his signings and tactics this season would be a start.
Huddy 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Hasn''t anybody noticed that the negative chants act as rocket up the players backsides. Whenever large numbers of people (more than ever yesterday) start jeering, the players srtart too perform. Yesterday, Earnies late double v Derby and Johansens late winner v stoke i think all came when there was alot of jeering and negative chanting.these chants spur the players on, to prove us wrong.. They are noy as bad as some make out, and considering the money we pay, we deserve an opinion.
