Stat junkies, xG lovers..  Behold the "most unlikely" championship results this season! 

And we made it!, against all odds, to beat Preston away by 4 goals.  0.523% Chance, apparently.

Not sure it means much, but thought I'd share.

Is this referring to xG though? 

I know sometimes people post 'unfair' results based on xG but this seems to be talking about what the probability of the result was pre-match. Considering there's on average what 2 goals a game usually then anything above that is going to be unlikely.

Yeah, similar concept really, hence why Preston appear a few times as their xG and xGA was so low for a period.
