In those days you got away with it , as did Leicester. Now it’s a disaster for several seasons to come . Being risk-averse in business rarely pays off. The money we have wasted on duff transfers and loans in recent seasons has been costly. The cost of the money the club borrowed for Colney expansion is surely proving to be a sound investment. Re: ITFC's administration. Didn't they bite off more than they could chew? I seem to recall that they envisaged that the brief run of success that they enjoyed with Burley would lead them back to the Robson days, with Premier League success and European football assured. A common complaint with that club has been forever living in the past. Edited March 26, 2023 by BroadstairsR

A common complaint with that club has been forever living in the past. You make two interesting points. 1 should we have spent money on the ground rather than spending it on players. A debate that could go on for some time , but now has the benefit of hindsight. 2. The Binners overspent. On everything it would seem including the ground. What their motives were is another point altogether.
