You've got to laugh at Everton, Villa and possibly even Arsenal considering recent years. No surprises with the Manc clubs. S'oton and especially Brentford look to have great models too but i can't help think we'd be dangerous with a bit more clout...but as we're renowned low wage payers, I’d be interested to see what this table looks like with said wages included. So if you are in minus you have made a loss, and if you are in positive you have made a profit. Brentford have made £43m and we have lost £4m. Logically, given the heading of 'Net spend', a minus should mean the opposite, that they've received more in transfer fees than they spent on transfers, but I think you're right that it means, for example, that Man Utd have spent much more than they have raked in. Chelsea have spent 1.6bn on transfers but they've received £1.2bn in sales, so 413m Net. Incidentally their Net spend was near to 0 this season as although Lukaku was £100m(?) they clawed back close to that selling a bundle of players. It doesnt include wages.
