Segura 100 Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) Saturday was so bad that it left me scratching my head over performances that I’ve witnessed which were any worse. So for no other reason other than writing this helps take my mind off the present, here’s a top five since my first game in 1992..... 1) Fulham away 2005– Still can’t believe it all these years later. Torn apart by a side that should have been on the beach, perhaps they were the worst opposition to play, but Jesus wept with everything at stake that was a rum'un. 2) Burnley 2006 – The death knell for Worthy and it should never have come to it. Was hard to stomach, especially considering we had started the season so well. Once the rot kicks in though. 3) Colchester 2009 – This would probably rank highest were it not for the fact that this match started one of our best eras. To this day, I can’t even watch it back on Youtube though. 3) WBA 2007 – Always love an away trip to the Hawthorns, nice ground, decent fans and decent pubs. But not this time. I think we had sacked Grant and had Jim Duffy in charge. It was men against boys stuff, how we only lost 2-0 is beyond me. 4) Southend 1995 – The height of Chase out and a reminder of how far we’d sunk, depressing day all round. Still had a good view of Southend’s winner, a cheeky back heeled effort which gave Gunny no chance and the River enders plenty of angst. 5) Ipswich 1998 – Subsequent successes have eased this one slightly, but again what a depressing day all round. king canary 8,754 Posted October 25, 2021 The 4-0 loss to Millwall early on in Farke's tenure was pretty bad. Fulham in 2005 does stick out somewhat though.
