Crabbycanary3 994 Posted December 13, 2020 I can see why the blessed 2000 are put in the South Stand, but I noticed last week that some fans were accommodated in the River End. Would fans prefer to be spread, either behind each goal (if they can take 2000 spread out) or around at least 3 sides of the ground, to create a different atmosphere? I also appreciate that the logistics puts a different slide on it from the club's pov, but it surely, can't be that much more arduous and may be beneficial? I haven't been to a game yet, but are there programmes on sale?
The Real Buh 3,765 Posted December 13, 2020 It’s easier to handle if you can control the entrances and exits to the ground. Keeping it in the south stand means there is only 1 way in and they can control the way people exit the stadium. If you open up the other stands you need more staff, more temp monitors etc.
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted December 13, 2020 Oh yes, I do appreciate that TRB, but it can't be that much more hassle/costings etc for what may be a much better experience (advantage?) for the team. Plus it would give the blessed 2000 a chance to talk to the opposition goalkeeper and perhaps persuade the referee to re think some of his decisions 🙂

At the Sheffield Wednesday game there were sellers weaving through the empty rows of the stand at half time trying to flog them.
